Which Injured Player Does Alabama Need Back Most? Just a Minute

Alabama has been without several key starters
and contributors the last couple weeks, some
missing multiple games, some just missing
last time out against Texas A&M, but those
guys include wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams,
defensive lineman Terrence Green, center
Center, Rayson Delgatti, running back, EJ Crowell.
Defensive back, Zabian Brown,
obviously two of your three captains are on that list,
which is not ideal, but Alabama's coming off the bye,
giving those guys a little extra time to rest and recover,
heading into a huge matchup with LSU this weekend.
As always, Kalen DeBoer has been pretty vague on injuries.
All those guys were listed as questionable
on the initial injury report on Wednesday.
He's made it seem like most of them will play, and I think they will.
Now will they all be 100% or ready to contribute at the same level
that they were before their injuries?
We don't know about that.
We probably won't really know until that game is over on Saturday.
But just kind of looking at that list,
the guy I think that is most important for Alabama to get back
and playing at a high level is center, Rayson Delgatti.
I think you could make a case for almost every guy on that list.
Alabama needs all of them back.
There's a reason why they're on scholarship here,
starters or high-level contributors for this team,
because they're some of the best players on the team.
So I think you could make a case for any of them,
but I'm going to go with Rayson Delgatti
because of the environment Alabama's heading into on the road to LSU,
being able to have that starting center back.
Alabama really struggled offensively
last time out on the road at Tennessee.
Mal Waldrep filled in for Delgatti, and he didn't do a bad job.
The coaches actually commended him for his performance.
But I think if you can get him back
in the center of that offensive line,
literally and figuratively the center.
Thank you, Victor.
It just opens up so much more for the offense.
It's a calming presence for Keelan Russell.
It's a calming presence for the rest of the offensive line.
It creates some cohesion and communication.
And Alabama is going to have to be able to run
the ball better at LSU than it did at Tennessee.
It needs to do a better job of keeping Keelan Russell upright,
which is going to be a tough challenge
with how good LSU's pass rush is.
And so...
I think Rayson Delgatti, if Alabama can get him back
to full health, he can play all four
quarters on Saturday.
That would be huge for the Crimson Tide.
But let me know in the comments on social media, what do you think?
Who does Alabama need most to return from injury?
That wraps up today's Just a Minute.
Thank you so much for watching.
