Red Wings unveil Hometown Remix jerseys

The Red Wings are getting some new duds. The NHL and Fanatics revealing the team's hometown remixed jerseys. Here with more is the Director of Retail for Ilitch Sports and Entertainment, Alondra McConaughey. Good morning to you. Good morning. How are you? This is very exciting. Yes. There are few jerseys and logos in the NHL more memorable than the winged wheel, and so it's fun to get a new spin on it. Agreed. So last year we celebrated our centennial anniversary as a team. So this year we're paying homage to Hockey Town and our beloved fan base. This is a thing that sports has been doing more and more of. We saw it with the Tigers with the City Connect jerseys. And now I guess it's the NHL's turn. Yeah, it is. So we're again putting Hockey Town on the jersey. So we haven't done this We've done this before. Love, breathe the game of hockey, and Detroit is hockey town, so we decided why not put it on the jersey with our winged wheel. And then in addition to that, we also have the purple octopus on the bottom here. This is such a cool, small detail. So again, paying homage to one of our most beloved traditions. Here in Detroit. What a small little thing, and most people won't even catch it, but that is so cool. So it's a really fun Easter egg, for sure. Okay, so when the NHL came... To the teams and said, we're going to do these alternate jerseys. Which, by the way, tonight is the first night you're going to see these on the ice. There's what, five games? Five games in total that we'll wear them this season out. Just kind of sprinkle them into the season? Yes. When the NFL came to you guys and said, we're going to do these alternate jerseys, these hometown remixed jerseys. What was it like in the jersey? Did they give you just free reign? What was the creative process like? Yes, so the NHL comes to us with ideas, and again, our team gets the opportunity to tweak and design it. So again, we haven't put Hockey Town on a jersey, so we're like, why not make a new statement here? It's funny, I can see them coming with a few ideas and you guys being like, no. Yeah, that happens sometimes. I love it. I love it. I mean, we are Hockey Town, so it's so nice to see that right there on the jerseys. Agreed. People can buy these, what, at the game tonight. Yeah, so we're open today, 11 to 3 p.m. at the LCA Team Store at the arena. Otherwise, you can shop these online at Shop Hockey Town. So we have apparel, headwear, everything. That white one, I'm telling you, I don't use this word a lot. This is a sexy shirt. Yes, I like it a lot. How crisp is that? Yep, it's lightweight for this weather. It's perfect. White, clean, and then just sharp with that Hockey Town and the winged wheel. Agreed. Hats, too. We haven't talked about the hats. Hats, too. So, again, this is our Cougar D logo. Hockey Town on the side. Again, this is a new era version. So we have snapbacks, adjustables, again, in youth and adult. Okay, so we've got, let's see, those two. We've got to show. Keith, can we show these two hats? This white one's sharp, too. Yeah, very, very sleek. Very cool. And then in the team shop, can we talk a little bit pricing-wise so people can get a feel for it? If they're going to the game, they know how much to bring with them? Yeah, so hats are as low as $30, depending on the style. And then, again, jerseys just range.
