‘It's definitely a challenge - Irving on dealing with Wembanyama's physicality in Mavs' loss to Spurs

It was a great play call for me to at least create an advantage and take a shot at least going to the rim and thought I got a good looking but I just didn't have my leg underneath me as well and just the Fox did a great job of bumping me off my spot and you know, that's just sometimes the tail of the game. Yeah, so it felt good but definitely feel like definitely could have made that. I mean, it's definitely a challenge. He posed the same challenge, Daniel, for every team. I feel like we matched up pretty well, but tonight he got it going. You know, it's going to be nights like this where, you know, some of the best players in the world, they're going to make it difficult on you. He got to the free throw line. You know, it seemed like he was at the free throw line the whole first half. Yeah. And he was making an impact for his team. You know, you can see his aggression has been raising over the past few games as well. His teammates are supporting him, and that's the Western Conference champs right there until another champion's crown. So got to give them their respect, but obviously we know what we can do to compete with them and eventually win the game against them.
