The #Bengals need to be like Denzel Washington at the NFL trade deadline: “I’m leavin here with somethin”
Nov 5, 2026
Denzel said this.
He was like, I'm leaving here with something.
I'm leaving here with something.
Thank you.
And if I'm the Bengals, I don't,
if it means making the offense a little bit better.
So I can find a way to get the first down in Kansas City
that I need to get in the AFC Championship game
to get Evan McPherson into field goal range.
I'm open to that.
Obviously, Derwin James, in on.
Jesse Bates, in on.
Bolster the pass rush, in on.
If Zach Bond was somehow available, I don't think he is.
Guess what?
I think everybody's in on him.
I think we all agree.
But it is not, for me, it is not defense or nothing
because the defender might not be available.
I'm getting something, and that's why I've
thrown out some of these other scenarios.
That's why I think the Bengals called on Jonathan Taylor,
because maybe that is that piece where
it can make something that's super strong right now
and awesome even better.
Right, if they went out and said,
okay, we got Tony Pollard for a fifth
to get a little bit better at running back.
If we got Dallas Goedert for a fourth-round pick,
is anybody mad?
If I can't have anything,
if the defense trade doesn't materialize,
then give me a bulletproof offense.
Give me something.
I'm with you, James.
I need something.
I'm leaving here with something.
