are

the
Blue
Mosque
and
Hagia
Sophia.
The Hagia Sophia originally a Byzantine church built in the 6th century
and for a short period
in the 13th century a Catholic church
was converted into a mosque in 1453. It became
a symbol of the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul by Mehmed II
also known as the Conqueror.
Hagia Sophia was originally a Byzantine church built in the 6th century
and in 1453 it became a symbol
of the Ottoman conquest of Istanbul by Mehmet II
and was also known as the Sultan Al Fatih's Conqueror,
which was turned into a mosque.
We have made a video about
the history of Hagia Sophia
that can be seen on our channel.
In the video Hagia Sophia and its history is 500 years old,
so this is just an addition.
The fall of Constantinople on May 29, 1453,
which was conquered by Sultan Mehmed II from the Ottoman Empire.
The Byzantine Empire, which ended when the Ottomans broke through the
ancient wall of Constantinople after conquering the city for 55 days.
Hagia Sophia is a domed monument that was built as a cathedral
and is now a mosque in Istanbul.
Hagia Sophia which means sacred wisdom.
Why is Hagia Sophia the most
important in the world?
Because this Byzantine building combines the longitudinal basilica
and the central building in a unique Byzantine way.
With the main dome measuring 32 meters,
which is stacked on a triangle segment from the football surface.
Hagia Masjid and Masjid Biru, this Hagia Masjid,
Hagia Sophia I mean, is older than Masjid Biru.
Hagia Sophia was built in 537,
while Masjid Biru was built in 1616.
Masjid Biru is one of the best works by the great architect,
Ottoman Sinan.
Insha'Allah, we will discuss about Masjid Biru.
Now,
we
are
heading
to
Masjid
Biru.
Assalamu'alaikum
warahmatullahi
wabarakatuh.
Right now, we are entering Masjid Biru.
Masjid Biru is one of the most important works in Ottoman history.
It was built by architect Mehmet Aga on the request of Sultan Ahmad I.
This Sultan is the 14th Sultan.
The Ottoman Sultan, who was 14 years old in 1603,
was a very religious person.
There are many tourists who come to Masjid Biru ini.
Tourists must be polite in entering the mosque.
So we can get a ticket from here
and they provide it for tourists who want to visit Masjid Biru.
The construction
of Masjid Biru
started in 1609.
by architect Mehmet Aga and in 1616 this mosque was built.
Thank you.
Thank you.
This blue mosque has 6 towers, the diameter of the dome is 23.5 meters
and the height of the dome is 43 meters,
and the concrete column is 5 meters in diameter.
This mosque is one of two mosques in Turkey that have 6 towers,
one of which is located in Adana.
According to the legend,
Sultan Ahmad I asked Mehmet Aga to build a tower made of gold.
The word gold in Turkish is Altin.
The architect misheard,
he thought Sultan Ahmad I wanted to have a mosque with six towers.
The word six in Turkish sounds like Altin,
and it sounds very similar to Altin.
Finally, the Blue Mosque was built with six towers,
not four towers made of gold.
Ketika selesai,
It is said that Sultan Ahmad I was fascinated
by the unique design of the six towers.
According to the news, due to the same number
of towers as Masjid al-Haram in Mecca at that time,
Sultan Ahmad I received a sharp criticism, so finally he donated
the cost of making the seventh tower for Masjid al-Haram.
Masjid Biru has many features such as a dome,
a half dome and a slender tower.
The six towers that make up the structure
are unusual in the style of Ottoman architecture.
The Blue Mosque has six towers,
four towers located at each corner of the mosque.
The towers have a shape like a pencil.
The four towers each have three balconies,
while the other two are at the end of the page,
only having two balconies.
In all the Ottoman mosques, the Blue Mosque has the largest page.
On the side of the page, tourists can see the tomb of Sultan Ahmed.
While across the tomb, tourists can see German Fonte.
The fountain is a gift from the German Empire to Sultan Ahmed.
Hi.
The Blue Mosque has a total of 16 wazin court.
People who look up to Adam in the palaces they have.
The lower floor of the mosque is decorated with a floor
with a traditional design, such as flowers.
Meanwhile, the most dominant thing on the top floor of the mosque
is more than 200 patria glass with a unique design.
The Qur'an says to decorate parts of the mosque.
Many of them were made by the greatest calligrapher of the time,
Said Kazim Gubari.
Thank you.
From the outside, it doesn't look like the mosque is blue.
After we went inside, it looks like the interior
of the mosque is decorated with 20,000 blue ceramic tiles
that were taken from the best ceramic refinery in the Iznik area,
a famous Turkish area that produces the number one blue,
green, purple and white ceramic.
The carpet that covers the mosque floor comes from the place of the
best sutra and oil lamps made of crystal which is an imported product.
There are many items and valuable gifts in this mosque,
including the Qur'an which is written by hand.
The ceramics that decorate the mosque wall are in the form of leaves,
tulips, mawar, grapes, delima flowers, or geometric motifs.
There are 260 windows in this mosque.
So, when we are inside it, the atmosphere is cool and cool.
The important element in this mosque is the mihrab,
which is made of marble,
which is lined with stalactite
and double decorative panels on top of it.
The walls around it are filled with ceramic.
This mosque is designed so that in the most full condition,
or the congregation that is fully included in this mosque,
All who are in the mosque can still see and hear the imam.

The
11th
century
is
remembered
as
a
period
of
close
relationships
between Germany and the Ottoman states.
Now we are in the Obelisk of Theodosius.
Theodosius.
This obelisk of Theodosius was constructed by an Egyptian pharaoh.
This monument was built by Pharaoh Thutmose III.
This obelisk is a four-sided high monument with a narrow arch
that ends in a shape like a pyramid at the top.
Initially, they were called Tekhenu by the ancient Egyptians.
The snake column is one of the three monuments left
at the Constantinople Hippodrome.
The
Serpent
Column
is one of
the three
remaining
monuments
of the
Hippodrome
of
Constantinople.
It now stands halfway between the Obelisk of Theodosius
and the Masonry Obelisk.
Revealing the location of Spina of the Hippodrome,
which was once extensively decorated with monuments and sculpture.
The Serpentine Column was originally a part of a victory tripod,
which was dedicated to the Sanctuary of Apollo in Delphi by the Greeks,
after their victory over the Persians in the Battle of Plataea in 479 BC.
This bronze monument consists
of three snakes twisting around each other to form the column shaft.
Originally three heads branched out of the top
of the intertwined snakes of the column but they were
knocked off by 1700.
The headless and necklace column now has
a height of 3.53 meters.
There are several unreliable legends blaming various individuals such
as Sultan Mehmet II or a drunken Polish ambassador.
The circumstances in which the column lost its head are unknown.
The upper jaw is one of the heads and now
in Istanbul Archaeological Museum was discovered in 1848 and its wide
flat head probably acted as a support for the golden tripod.
The tomb of Sultan Ahmed I, the Blue Mosque Great Patron,
is on the north side of the mosque facing Sultan Ahmed Park.
Ahmed, who ascended the imperial throne aged 13,
died in 1617, aged only 27.
His tomb was constructed between 1617 and 1619,
and like the mosque, features fine Iznik tiles.
Buried with Ahmed and his wife,
...who was strangled to death in the Topkapi harem and his son,
Sultan Osman II and Sultan Murad IV and Prince Bayezid,
murdered by the order of Murad.
And this is the grave of Sultan Ahmad I,
who founded the Birwan Mosque.
Sultan Ahmed I ascended the throne of the Empire at the age of 13 years
and died in 1617 at the age of 27 years.
In here, Sultan Ahmed was buried with his wife Kosem
and his sons, Sultan Osman II,
Sultan Murad IV, and Prince Bayezid.
