Watch as Xavier Becerra casts his ballot in the 2026 midterm elections

Hello sir, how are you feeling today? Very good, very good. Good morning. Hello, good morning. Good morning Dr. Ray. Feeling pretty good. Heard the news. Looks like Americans across the country are coming out to vote. That's what you want, right? Obviously I want more than just to have them vote. I'd like them to vote for me if they're in California, but have them vote. And I hope all the work That people have done. To really impress upon the citizens of this country how important it is to cast your ballot, to make the decision so no one person can dictate to this country what we do is so important and I hope they heeded that call. Carolina and I certainly did. We're looking forward to the outcome today. A lot of work went into this. Very much looking forward to having the voters speak and very Much looking forward to what I hope will be an opportunity to serve this state as its next governor. And I am proud, I'm thrilled, and I am humbled by this opportunity. Looking forward to serving. I am most thrilled that I'm getting to do quite a few of these things with my partner, La Doctora as we call her, Carolina Reyes, and I'm hoping that we get to do these things in partnership again. You know, I said on Sunday, speaking to a pretty large crowd that we had that I'm hoping that if everything goes well, I'll get to make history. But I'm not running to make history. I'm running to make a difference. I've had an opportunity throughout my life to pay back my parents, this country, this state. I hope to, as governor, get to pay back in ways bigger than perhaps I've ever had a chance to do. And, you know, it's an honor to serve. I'm looking forward to it.
