K-State QB Blake Barnett eyes 1st college start vs. OSU Cowboys
Nov 3, 2026
What was Monday practice like for you after that game?
You know, just kind of getting my body right,
body feeling good and preparing for this week.
I was a little sore, got a little aches and bruises, but, yeah.
What was the thrill of being able to perform like that?
It was awesome.
Just, like, you live to play football,
and you, like, at the end of the day,
like, that's what I love most is playing football,
and, you know, just a surreal moment at home.
Tell me about your patience.
I mean, you've gone through a journey here,
and now you're at this spot.
Yeah, you know, I just give, like,
all my glory to God and his plan for me.
And no matter what, like, whatever he has in store for me,
like, I'm going to follow it and I'm going to trust it.
Reviewing the game,
Just some of the things you liked, some things you didn't like?
All right.
Um.
You know, just kind of like the off-schedule plays when we needed them.
I think those were pretty crucial
and important in some of those moments.
And then, you know, there were just some times I got
a little jittery on some plays.
Did you notice throughout just watching yourself calm down,
ease into it a little bit more?
Yeah, I just kind of got into a flow of the game.
It's just like a weird moment when you get into the game and
you're just kind of like everything's quiet.
You're not really hearing the fans or the crowd or anything like that.
You're just playing football and doing what you love.
So I just kind of felt that as we got on.
What was the thrill of throwing three touchdowns in your debut?
You know, it didn't really like...
I don't really think of, like, wow, I threw
three touchdowns until, like, after the game.
It's just kind of like.
What I do and just playing football
and like throwing touchdowns is what I've been doing
in practice and back in high school.
So it just kind of wasn't anything new.
