Copilot Built My Power BI Dashboard From 1 Prompt #PowerBI #Copilot

Can Copilot really build a dashboard from a single prompt? I tried it in Microsoft Fabric. I described what I wanted to see, pointed it at dummy sales data, and got an editable real-time dashboard with revenue, profit, orders, discount, trends by category and region, plus a detail table.
What I cover:
How the dashboard got generated from a plain-English prompt
What it got right and where I had to step in
If you work with Power BI, Fabric or analytics, tell me in the comments: would you trust a Copilot-built dashboard in production?

Hello everyone, so welcome to the Copilot Dashboard short video.
So Microsoft has launched Copilot Dashboards
and it's an answer to the Cloud Dashboards or the
Grok Bot Pages and it's a concept where you can
to develop dashboards not with Power BI like you used
to do it before but with
just agentic prompting. So I tried it out today let's see what I get.
So first you need to set up
Event House database, you may import CSV
or any other data set
A real-time data set or not real-time.
So I uploaded the CSV file,
customer sales, the same one,
which I used for the cloud dashboards.
So it's one-to-one.
I want to do this test.
So let's see.
First, I go to real-time dashboard,
generate with Copilot preview.
I click on here, build my first prompt.
It's exactly the same prompt that I did
for the cloud
dashboards.
Give it a name, save it.
Voila! You have the dashboard. It's pretty okay.
We have some bar charts, line charts, cards,
and a matrix in the bottom. Just exactly how I asked.
Of course the color is all blue and all
that. Let me change that one to red
and make it a bar chart just to see the little agentic
prompting line.
All right looks good.
Looks great. I mean I'm
doing it really quickly
and I'm sure you can do a lot more things with that.
Now I want to add a new measure.
It's not like Power BI where you just add measures or DAX here.
If you type in a chat window what you want,
it's a bit unusual for me, but I want the margin.
Let's see.
Apply.
We have to wait a bit.
Apply again.
Yeah, here you go.
Now you have the 42% margin.
Yeah, that's my very first short initial test of a Copilot dashboard.
I mean, I like it so far.
It looks stable because I'm maybe a Power BI user.
I'm used to the Power BI.
So I personally like it more than Cloud Dashboard,
although I do notice that
Cloud Dashboards look more professional
and more polished in their design.
Uh, but...
I think it's a very, very first shot of Power BI at agility, of course,
so I like it. Looks great.
Very simple and quick. So yeah, thank you for watching. Bye!
