Chinese Traditional Story: Taoist Master Danyangzi

In 1167, Ma Yu met his master, Wang Chongyang. The two hit it off immediately, discussing profound philosophical concepts and deeply feeling the mysteries of cultivation. Therefore, the following year, he resolved to leave home to study Taoism. However, due to his extremely wealthy family and loving wife, he was unable to fulfill his wish. Soon after, he made a final decision: he divorced his wife, Sun, and divided his substantial fortune among his three sons. He then began to follow Wang Chongyang in a life of seclusion and cultivation, becoming Wang Chongyang's first disciple.
