Hey everyone, it's Deja from CrochetEverAfter.com.
Today I'm doing a review on the Knit Picks Crochet Curio.
So what this is, it's a relatively new product from Knit Picks
and it's a crochet thread.
So, as you can see there's a slight sheen to it.
It's usually made out of all cotton when you have a crochet thread,
so you have 100% cotton.
There are 721 yards in each of these balls, so it's
a really good amount, you can see it goes all the way to the center.
So usually for crochet thread, you're doing doily products.
But you can use this for tons of different things.
It's like a fingering weight,
a little bit smaller, almost a lace weight.
So you could use this for scarves, for garments.
I'm using it for edging for some pillowcases
that I'm doing a tutorial for, which was a viewer request.
So I'm going to be using the green and the kind of maroon,
deep red color.
So this should be ready.
I'm going to be doing a shell edging and a flower edging,
so if you've ever wanted to try to crochet an edging on something,
you can check out that tutorial.
But I'm going to get started with the projects and see how I like this,
and I'll get back with you and let you know how it crochets
and how well it blocks out.
Yeah, finish my project with the
so I'm gonna tell you how I like it. It is a very
nice crochet thread
It does not twist as I'm working with it, so if you've never had yarn,
as while you're working with it, it starts to twist on itself.
Just a certain way,
you'll get kind of twist as you're doing your yarn over.
This crochet thread does not do that.
So the sheen on it is really pretty,
the colors go together really well,
and everything is nice and stiff.
So that's one thing about crochet thread,
that it produces a nice stiff stitch that you don't have to block.
I don't know if you can see it, but I'm using a little bit of lacy,
girly out of crochet thread, and there's something you're going
to have to block it, but as you can see for this little edgy project,
my shells are all sitting nice and up and nice and tall,
there's no yodeling or blocking or anything,
and they're sitting straight, so this thread is a great crochet thread,
it has awesome color, so you have to check out on the website
to see all of the different, but you don't have to use this for just
Edgings or doilies.
This can be used for garments, it can be used for shawls.
It's a really great option for structured garments
or structured shawls because it does not stick as in scratchy.
It's actually very soft, holds the stitch very well.
So you're not going to block it.
So overall, the curio is a great crochet.
Check out the colors on them and thank you for watching.
