Hey, Decatur, give it up for Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock.
You all look good. You all look ready to work.
You know this is a canvas launch, right?
You know we're not just here to cheer.
We're here to go out there and knock on doors.
Because there are just 26 hours until
the polls close.
There are 26 hours remaining for us
to change the course of American history.
And we need change.
I'm not going to recite for you all of the terribles
that have been forced on our republic
this last year and a half.
You've seen them.
You've felt them.
You're living them.
But we need change.
They have lied us into yet another war in the Middle East.
They slashed Medicaid
and doubled health insurance premiums to cut taxes for the rich.
These tariffs have sent grocery prices soaring.
They're crushing Georgia's small businesses and Georgia farms.
But these next.
26 hours are the time remaining for us to wield the power
and the rights invested in us as citizens
by our Constitution to make a difference.
Decatur, are you ready to work? Are you ready to win?
Now, I'm so honored to be here with Raphael, and I want to tell you
a quick story about the work that we've done together on behalf of the
state that just illustrates the stakes of this election for Georgia.
Because when you sent me and Raphael Warnock to the U.S. Senate,
and by the way, we shocked the nation with those two victories,
and thank you for everything you did to make them possible.
But when you sent me and Raphael to the Senate,
one of the first things we did is we stood up to the big drug companies
who have armies of lobbyists and unlimited money,
and we capped the cost of insulin on Medicare at $35 a month.
Do you all remember that?
What you may not know is that at the same time,
Raphael and I added to the federal budget $2 billion
as an incentive for Georgia to expand Medicaid.
Because you all know that we are one
of very few states still refusing Medicaid expansion.
We all pay the same federal taxes as people in every other state.
We just refuse to accept money back for health insurance
and clinics and hospitals and nursing homes.
In a state where half of all births are covered by Medicaid.
Forty percent of all kids are covered by Medicaid.
Seventy percent of all seniors
in nursing homes are covered by Medicaid.
So Senator Warnock and I said, okay, okay, Governor,
you haven't yet chosen to do the right thing,
but here's $2 billion more for the state
to encourage you to do the right thing,
and the governor still said no.
In the middle of a health emergency here,
we've lost 21 hospitals in 20 years in the state of Georgia.
We have among the highest maternal mortality rates in the country.
It's three times higher for black women.
It's a healthcare emergency in Georgia
and I say all of this to say that it is literally a matter of life
or death for our fellow Georgians whether we expand Medicaid
and tomorrow we must elect a Medicaid expanding Governor Keisha
Lance Bottoms to lead our state out of this healthcare emergency.
We have a historic opportunity.
To elect Keisha, our next governor.
To elect Josh, our next lieutenant governor.
To elect Penny Brown Reynolds,
our secretary of state, to defend voting rights.
To elect Tanya Miller, our attorney general,
to fight for the constitutional rights of every single Georgian.
We are on the cusp of a victory for the ages.
We are on the cusp of making history.
We are on the cusp of having a transformative impact
on Georgia's history and our nation's history.
We've seen in these last few months attacks on civil rights
and voting rights unprecedented for decades.
But when our civil rights and our voting rights are under attack,
we defend those rights by using them.
And the work that you're about to do out there empowering
and informing your fellow Georgians to vote tomorrow
is empowering and informing your fellow Georgians to defend
their rights, to defend what this country stands for.
And to advance the causes of justice
and righteousness here in our state and nationwide.
So thank you so much for everything that you've done.
Not just for the last 18 months,
but for the last decade to make a difference.
We've been on a long journey together that's brought us to this moment
where we're on the precipice of breaking through
and beginning a new era for our state.
Let's give it.
Everything that we've got.
No regrets, Decatur.
No regrets.
We've got 26 hours left to save our state and to save our country.
You all are about to go out there
and use your power as citizens to make a difference.
So I'm going to ask you again, Decatur, are you ready to work?
Are you ready to win?
Let's get this done.
Thank you so much.
Let's make history for the state of Georgia tomorrow.
