James Kaufman, World News Report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, that was no simple filament eruption
on September 4th, 2025 that we saw.
We have a huge coronal mass ejection inbound.
What we saw and misidentified
was a sigmoid eruption on the sun.
When you see an S on the sun,
it usually means something is about to explode on September 4th.
NASA's Solodynamic Observatory recorded a textbook sigmoid eruption.
Sigmoid eruptions begin their lives below
the visible surface of the sun.
That's why we didn't see a sunspot.
Their intense magnetic fields create
a twisted up length of magnetism and plasma.
Curves in this structure are less dense than the surrounding material
and begin to rise towards the surface,
forming a plasma rope shaped like the Greek letter omega.
Its two ends, whose magnetic fields are wrapped through
the plasma more tightly, rise more quickly
and punch through the sun's surface,
initially forming the top and bottom loops of an S.
Over time, these two structures,
which are each composed of many intertwined ribbons of plasma,
pull up towards each other until they connect
and form a sigmoid eruption.
When they do, magnetic field lines in these structures reconnect,
He did the plasma and flinging it away in a large coral mass ejection.
Researchers have long known that sigmoid structures
in the sun's atmosphere herald very
strong explosions.
Their magnetic field lines are twisted like a slinky.
When enough tension
builds up, they untwist explosively.
This sigmoid eruption hurled a dark plume of plasma
More than 700,000 kilometers long into space.
The plume is dark
because the plasma inside is relatively cool and dense,
two qualities that can make for a potent coronal mass ejection.
This explosion hurled
a large coronal mass ejection directly towards Earth.
NOAA and NASA models agree that it will reach
our planet on September 7th.
The impact could spark a G1 to G2 class or stronger geomagnetic storm
with high-altitude auroras visible during the lunar eclipse.
Now, if you will recall or watch my report from yesterday,
I actually picked up on the fact that they had said
that we'd be impacted on the 7th
and guessed that it was the quote-unquote filament eruption
that I misidentified.
Although I guess this is a type of filament eruption.
It's a sigmoid eruption. So there
you have it folks. Inbound.
A very fast moving coronal mass ejection. As you can see
Earth being this little yellow dot right here.
This should be a direct hit. And that was a
huge explosion. We'll take one last look at that explosion.
That's some filament eruption. I mean
Sigmoid eruption.
God bless, folks. Please share our videos.
