King Charles and Queen Camilla were literally left out in the rain.
As part of their Caribbean tour,
they attended a military parade in Antigua
to mark the 45th anniversary of the island nation's independence.
When heavy rain set in during the event,
the king and queen got quite soaked.
Charles asked several times for an umbrella.
Camilla, on the other hand,
was quickly handed one and took her seat in the stands.
Charles had to wait longer in the rain.
Eventually he too was escorted to the stands with an umbrella.
In Antigua it is traditional for everyone present to stand still
and remain silent
during the national anthem.
This caused delays before the king could be handed an umbrella.
According to The Telegraph,
the 77-year-old took the situation in stride and joked that the rain
had ruined his hairstyle
and that he feared cress would soon be growing on his suit.
