All right, meanwhile, if you dare to watch the New York Jets
and Las Vegas Raiders today, outside of betting and fantasy,
there'd be no reason to do so.
The Raiders, let me take a double check here.
Okay, yes, the Raiders are still a point, point and a half favorite
at the Jets, and I understand that line.
That's what the line has to be.
The Jets have to be slight favorites at home.
Boy, I mean, losing to the Dolphins last week,
that's one thing, but the way that they lost
just so mismanaged throughout the game was so bizarre.
Miami gave them chance after chance
after chance last week against the Jets.
They couldn't get it done,
but the Raiders have now sunk back to where we thought, Joe,
they would be, which is probably
a sub-500 team at the end of the season.
I saw that endorsement today from ESPN
for Kirk Cousins, which there should be.
Cousins has played well.
They don't even have great receivers.
They have Bowers and Tucker and nothing else.
But you know what?
When I see a game like this, you know,
sometimes I could yell and scream and try and pick a
side, but I don't think I'm going to do it today.
I'm just going to hope Braylon Allen has a good game and call it that.
What do you got today?
Well, what I've got for you is harkening back
to last week, which is a conversation you
and I had, which is the Jets find ways to lose football games.
And if you recall last week,
one of the dogs that I liked was the Miami Dolphins.
I think there was very few opportunities
for the Dolphins to win a lot of football games
this year, and this was one of them.
Week one was one of them.
And last week, we also gave you the ladder bet,
Nolly Gordon, which if you played that
last week, oil boy to that catch.
The Dolphins made me a very, very happy boy last week.
That being said, I'm kind of like where you
are with the Cowboys and where I'm with the Jets,
like whenever you kind of leave the Jets
for dead, they find a way to kind of
figure things out. And I think with Las Vegas going out here
on the road and having to travel
here across the country, I will take the Jets.
Omar Cooper has been very useful. Braylon Allen's
been solid there filling in for Brees Hall.
You have enough weapons here if you're the Jets.
Yes, you will find a way to lose games,
but I think this one, maybe Las Vegas Raiders
also give you a little bit of that.
I think the Raiders are starting out hot,
a little bit of a paper tiger kind of scenario
for them.
They've come crashing back down to earth.
I think the Jets can make one more play here than
the Raiders and find a victory at home.
So I'll be on the Jets this week,
even though last week I dogged them and I was right.
Even though the Raiders have played pretty
good offensive football, it does seem to me
that at some point they're going to take
a look at Fernando Mendoza, and even though
I saw that report today, I sort of think that's coming soon.
