Last Wild Refuge For Elephants

Wetlands like Kinabatangan in Malaysia play a vital role in biodiversity and ecological balance. This sanctuary is home to exceptional wildlife, including orangutans, saltwater crocodiles, and pygmy elephants.
However, monsoon cycles and human activities, such as deforestation and palm oil plantations, are putting these habitats at risk. Animals face isolation, lack of food, and conflict with humans.
Despite these challenges, nutrient-rich wetlands support an incredible diversity of life. Protecting these ecosystems is crucial to their survival.
