Then of course there's a race that gets a lot less national hype,
but it's critical for state leadership.
Over the next four years with the election of a new governor,
Republican Congressman John James
is making a tour through West Michigan at this hour
and making his closing pitch to voters.
He's referencing a recent speech by former President Barack Obama.
One thing Obama did say that I agree
with is that we deserve the politicians we have.
Ultimately, if you want more of the same, vote for Johnson-Benson.
But if you want change, if you want to try a new way, if you want
to try the way that, frankly, all the states that are growing,
when our state's 49th out of 50 in population growth,
maybe we try something different.
Well, James is referring to the fact that Michigan has had
a Democratic governor for the past eight years.
As for Jocelyn Benson, the Democratic nominee for governor,
she's posting this photo with
Abdullah Syed and others promoting their support
from the group Indian American Impact.
She's thanking them, saying, quote, in three days,
we will secure the bright future Michigan
deserves.
Early in-person voting runs through tomorrow.
Election day, of course, is Tuesday.
If you're voting absentee,
drop your ballot off at a Dropbox, not your mailbox.
