Canada's Sarault adds another short track World Tour silver medal to her collection

Brunel won individual medal last year. Her World Tour victory the year before was in a 500. Blais does have a win in the 1,000 on World Tour, but so much to watch for here. So it's all the Canadians, and then two outgunned others, but those others are very, very good. And it's Brunel in front right now. Courtney Serrelt, winner of the 1500 meter in Vancouver. Choi Min-jung, winner of the 1000 meter. Thank you. Two skaters to keep a close eye on, but Marant Brunel wanting to maintain his lead position as Choi Min-jung looks up the inside. Courtney Serrelt. Defensive wall from Courtney Serrelt. How dare you. And that allows Blay to get all three Canadians up. One, two, three. How do you get through this? Well, a little outside inside from Courtney Serrelt. Strong move to take the lead as we see four to go, but... Anyone can pass, it's Choi Min-Jung, so let's keep a close eye on her as Danae Blay looks to squeeze into second. Last time around, the great wall of three Chinese skaters up front. Now it's the three Canadian Ice Maples. They are coming up to two and a half laps to go, but Choi Min-Jung, dangerous. Out around she goes into third. De Smet trying to follow. One and a half laps to go. Choi keeping it going. It is her and Serrelt shoulder to shoulder. One to go. Serrelt trying to hold off Choi Min-jung up the inside. Can she make this stick? She's completely outgunned. Doesn't matter. Choi Min-jung is golden again. What an incredible outside move from Choi Min-jung. Relentless. Did not give up. And Hannah DeSmit all the while moving her way up for the bronze medal. Not even three from one team can stop her. Choi Min-jung knows how to get to the line first. Unbelievable, Choi Min-jung again, cementing her legendary status as one of the best back-to-back world tour wins for Choi. And Serreau up for second, DeSmit coming around for third, knew there was a time to go and why not follow Choi Min-jung and Hannah DeSmit just bided her time at the back. Well, François Brunel and Danae Blais just had a lot of back and forth on passes with each other that were just those little efforts that are adding up and taxing the legs a little bit. But nothing to stop Choi Min-jung here on the outside. And I thought for a moment, Courtney Serreau may hold her off. When she felt Choi Min-jung on the outside, she got two crossovers in to try to keep that pace going. But Choi Min-jung, just too much to handle, then jumping up the inside. Never surrender. Keeps the poker face right until the end. It's two for two in the 1,000 meters, and if it wasn't already, the Crystal Globe race keeps getting even more interesting. Well, it's between those two skaters right now, Courtney Serreau and Choi Min-jung, battling it out right there in front of us.
