Not all exceptional watches reveal their secrets at first glance. Look closer, and you'll discover something quite different.
Aurel Bacs presents two remarkable timepieces from The Geneva Watch Auction: XXIV, whose most fascinating details are not immediately apparent: a 1941 Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 530 in stainless steel, distinguished by its multi-tone dial and applied Breguet numerals, and a 1954 Vacheron Constantin minute repeater in platinum, made for Lamine Bey, the last Bey of Tunis, with a barely visible Arabic signature at the bottom of the dial.
