The Clock is Ticking - A Mother Grizzly Finds A Final Feast For Her Cubs Before Winter!

This eight year old mother with her two yearlings finds a valuable last meal of the season in a deer carcass. The family fed on the late season luck, putting on the last minute precious calories to insure a long and healthy hibernation. With winter starting to show up in the mountainous regions, the bear season is almost over for these bears, and it'll be time to head to much higher elevations, where they will remain till April or May, depending on the snow melt. This female has always been to the den or in it by November 8th being the latest. With not much more than a week to go, here's hoping to good health and a great nap!
