So you view that as blatantly anti-Semitic?
I think anybody who's reasonable in America views
that ad as anti-Semitic. It's bizarre.
It's insane. It says that you want better healthcare,
you want better education for
your kids, you want childcare.
We can afford it all, but for the Jews. And the problem is
Abdul's run his whole campaign with that message.
Tweet after tweet, fundraising email after fundraising email.
But now here we are at the 11th hour.
He's got an ad.
And who made this ad?
Sure, we are even shocked.
Hassan Piker's uncle made this ad
that Haley's calling on him to disavow.
He's got to make a choice.
He's either with Hassan Piker's uncle
or he's with reasonable people of good faith,
good conscience in both parties
who say this isn't what we want in our politics.
Abdul, this is not tricky.
Be on the side of regular people.
Don't be on the side of Hassan Piker's uncle.
Jason, listen, being on the same side as Hassan Piker
is clearly a problematic issue for anyone,
and I disagree with everything that I've heard from Hassan Piker.
However, is there another way to look at that ad
as being this couple is critical of the political decisions
of Benjamin Netanyahu, of the Israeli government,
And not.
Not an anti-Semitic ad.
Yeah, I understand your question, but history teaches us otherwise.
Look, U.S. funding for Israel is about a 20th of 1%.
About $3 billion.
It's not nearly enough money to end hunger
or pay for schools or provide health care.
But for thousands of years, the oldest trope there is,
is that we could have all those
things but for the Jews.
There's a deep history that this ad touches into.
And my question is, how afraid is Abdul El-Sayed of the far,
far, far left of what has been
my party that he can't call this out,
that he can't call out Hassan Piker, can't call
out his uncle and say, just stay
the hell out of the Michigan Senate race?
So let's talk about your fiance.
I saw her on CNN two nights ago, and Caitlin Collins was
pressing her to find out, you know,
would you say out loud you support Abdul El-Sayed? And she
didn't. It was very clear she was holding back.
So what happens in the next four days? Does she
She go to this rally if he doesn't disavow the ad,
because honestly, Jason.
He's not going to disavow the ad.
I mean, you know that, and you know why.
Because there are a lot of voters
who probably like that ad in Michigan.
So assuming he doesn't disavow it, what does your fiancée do?
Does she show up on Sunday?
Does she specifically say she's supporting him?
Well, this I can offer some insight on, okay, because I can tell you.
Don't try a B.S. excuse with Haley Stevens. It's not going to work.
OK, Abdul can try some sort of non apology.
Apology hurt people, hurt people.
I was just trying to offer some context.
I'm sorry the ad hurt somebody's feelings once upon a time.
No, the ad has come out at the 11th hour of this campaign.
And Haley could not have been more crystal clear
in her statement this morning.
You need to disavow it.
You need to choose party unity.
Look, her good friend.
Or what?
Or what?
Or else what?
Or else what?
No, I'm going to tell you, Harvey,
her good friend Jim Clyburn is coming up from South
Carolina and asked her to go to a black church with her on Sunday.
She's not saying no to Jim Clyburn.
She's going to go show up when Jim Clyburn asks her to show up.
But I got to tell you, when she says you better disavow this ad,
she means that I don't think
she's going to be supporting Abdul El-Sayed very much longer.
And it's not going to be because she doesn't want to,
because that's how this little, you
know, rift between us on this small political issue happened.
She stayed on Team Dem.
If this ends this way,
it's going to be because Abdul El-Sayed has picked Hassan Piker's
uncle over Party Unity.
He's going to pick Tucker Carlson.
What does she do?
How does she vote, Jason?
That's what everybody kind of wants to know.
How does she vote?
If he does not disavow the ad, how does Haley Stevens vote?
Look, she's told everybody their vote is sacred and personal.
She also told CNN she's on Team Abdul and intends to vote for him,
that he just needs to disavow these ads.
Jason, I will say, it was weird the way she said it.
She said, the Democratic Party has a great candidate.
His name is Abdul.
It was almost like she just didn't want to say, give a full throat,
and she never said Abdul El-Sayed.
It almost felt like there was someone
from the Democratic Party standing right off camera,
you know, saying, you better stay in line.
Absolutely.
Have you guys spent some time with my fiancee?
You think somebody keeps her in line?
I don't think so.
Not in line.
No, I don't think so.
She's in line, but it feels, like Charles said, it's not full-throated.
You know, it's like she's saying it's a deal-breaker,
but it's weird to say on the one hand it's a deal-breaker,
and on the other hand she supports him.
Harvey, I think there's a completely honest explanation
for what you're what you're pointing to.
And it's totally fair, which is this horrific,
uncomfortable tension that Abdul has put us
in where she where she has won the black vote extraordinarily.
She understands that these are communities
that are too often silenced and not heard.
She understands what's on the line
in a U.S. Senate campaign like this in the Senate majority.
Our courts are rights for LGBT people
who remember a time they didn't have them.
But then she also knows on the other side that in 2026, to stay silent,
less than 100 years after the world said never again,
there's a real problem with that, too.
There's one person who can end this horrific choice,
this difficult position we've all been put in.
You know who that one person is?
Abdul El-Sayed.
Just condemn the ads, Abdul.
It's going to be a darn good day in America,
especially that Tucker Carlson ad.
You lost the black vote by a tremendous amount.
You shouldn't be running your own ads.
Those aren't super PAC ads.
That's his own ad with a white nationalist
on the eve that you're going to go into a
black church with Jim Clyburn.
Come on, Abdul.
Clean it up.
