22News Storm Team Forecast with Brian Lapis
22 News Storm Team. This is the 4 p.m. video forecast.
Look out. Wind gusts of 45 miles per
hour right now. Barnes Airport, Westfield,
33 mile per hour gusts at Springfield and Pittsfield,
38 mile per hour wind gusts at Orange.
The colder air that's arriving for the weekend is arriving
right now on these gusty winds,
and it's complicating our brush fire danger. So brush
fire danger is very high right now.
It's best not to burn and be very careful with the disposal
of smoking materials that will not take much to set off a brush fire.
In fact, we already have some brush fires happening this afternoon
in parts of western Massachusetts.
The wind is also blowing in some cooler air.
We're just clinging to the 60s right now in Springfield and Greenfield,
50s elsewhere, and that's the plan,
is that we will be falling into and through the 50s
as we head into the evening hours.
We'll be dry and mostly clear.
It'll be breezy this evening and then the wind will diminish.
We expect significantly after midnight tonight.
Overnight low temperatures.
So temperatures 7 o'clock tomorrow morning in the 30s.
10 o'clock bright, noontime bright and then bright right through
the afternoon. Light breeze out of the northwest here tomorrow.
High temperatures during the day 54 to 58 and then dry for trick
or treating tomorrow evening with temperatures mainly in the 40s
and perhaps into the 30s if you're going to be out.
After 8 or 9 o'clock.
We'll update weather for the weekend on 22 News starting at 5.
