Because I want to share something with you that I hope will give you courage and a sense of the history that we all are living through and that we all are making right now. Because I just had a meeting with my team, and what they told me is that by far, We have already shattered every turnout record for young voters in a midterm election in Georgia's history. Young people are voting and voting early because young people recognize the stakes of this election. We have had enough of the foolishness, the corruption, the incompetence, and listen, sometimes... Sometimes you don't realize the magnitude of the moment that you're living in while you're living in it. Y'all follow me? You look back at the long arc of American history and you think about the people who took part in powerful movements and who took action at powerful moments, pivotal moments, to make a difference, to advance the causes of justice and righteousness. And whether or not you know it and you feel it every minute of every day right now, we are living through one of those moments and you all are rising to this moment. You all are rising to this moment. We can't take any more of what's been going on. Do y'all remember that this man promised to lower prices on day one? Y'all remember that? And just listen to this. It has never cost more in American history. To fill up your truck, to power your home, to stock your fridge, to go to the doctor. Never in American history. Do you all remember that he promised to drain the swamp? Do you all remember that? Instead, it's the most corrupt administration of all time, and everybody knows it. Everybody knows it. And while you pay more for everything, the president and his family are lining their pockets to betune to billions of dollars. Have you seen that? Do you all remember that he promised peace? He promised peace. Instead, they lied us into yet another war in the Middle East, and it's a war they don't know how to end, they don't know how to win. 21 Americans have been killed, hundreds wounded, diesels at its all-time high. We can't take any more of this foolishness, corruption, and incompetence. And the power is ours. The power is yours to make a difference. Did you all see? That he sent. Federal agents and spies to Fulton County, Georgia to seize your ballots. Did you see that? Let me be really blunt. Because why Fulton County? Why Fulton County? It's the same reason he's obsessed with Philly. It's the same reason he's obsessed with Detroit. It's because for this committed, lifelong racist, the fact that black voters were instrumental to his defeat is even more offensive than the defeat itself. And so he thought he could send federal agents to Georgia to intimidate you, foolish of them, to come to the cradle of the civil rights movement to launch an attack on voting rights. What we are seeing right now is that the people's answer is determined and defiant and massive. And if we do everything we need to do for these next five days, how many of you have already voted? I want you to turn to the person next to you and ask, have you voted yet? I want you to turn to the person next to you and say, if you haven't voted yet, we're going to vote right now. Because if we do everything we need to do for these next five days, for these next five days, we will change the course of American history. Not only will we be able to contain this man's wickedness. But we will be able to do the work of healing the brokenness that gave rise to him. We will defend civil rights and voting rights in the state of Georgia and across the country. We will take action to get secret money and corporate money out of politics. We will restore American leadership for peace and human rights around the world.
