The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday sided with Texas, overturning a lower court's order that blocked congressional redistricting efforts by the state legislature. The new congressional map is expected to give Texas five more Republican seats in Congress. Last week, a panel of three federal judges ruled against Texas' new redistricting map. The panel ordered Texas to use its 2021 map in a two-to-one ruling. The panel claimed that it was an illegal race-based gerrymander considering California just redistricted themselves and their map eliminates six Republican seats. This should help to offset that gerrymandering, which disenfranchised over six million California Trump voters. And of course, no court has even mentioned yet overruled that move. God bless, folks.
