CONGRESS ZERO SEATS: Amit Shah Joins PM Modi In Mocking Rahul Gandhi Over MLC Election Rout

The BJP and its allies have dominated
the latest round of the MLC elections,
winning 16 of the 28 seats across four states,
and they have retained their edge in Uttar Pradesh.
While in Karnataka, the BJP and its ally JDS have won all four seats,
leaving the ruling Congress empty-handed.
And yet two results that stand out.
Congress's lone win in Nagpur, which is an RSS stronghold
and the home turf of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis,
and the Samajwadi Party's victory in Varanasi,
which is the Prime Minister's Lok Sabha constituency.
But beyond the scorecard, the results have
also triggered a political battle over the ballot papers.
Now, these MLC elections that were conducted using ballot papers,
the very system that the opposition led
by Rahul Gandhi has been demanding a return to.
And the BJP is using the results to question that demand.
It started with the prime minister taking a swipe
at the Congresses who are showing the irony.
The BJP argues is that the Congress won just one seat
in the elections conducted using ballot papers.
the very system that the opposition restores, wanted to be restored.
And the Prime Minister's question was pointed,
saying that guess how many seats did the Congress party win?
Meanwhile, taking on the same leg is the Home Minister Amit Shah,
who joined the attack taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi over
the opposition's demand for the CEC's resignation.
Amit Shah asked whether the Congress leader would now demand
the resignation of ballot boxes themselves.
And other leaders from the BJP have also chimed in,
training their fire on the Congress.
What Rahul ji says, all the leaders of Congress agree with it.
And because of this, Congress is going on a rampage today.
And Rahul Baba's father kept on saying that Congress will end.
See, that is the decision of the elections.
But they used to do ballots, but they have become zero in the ballots.
So they should know their status.
The people do not like those who spread injustice.
who are trying to spread the one-day rule in Delhi,
the public is not liking them.
There were 28 seats in the ballot paper.
Out of those, Congress got only one seat.
That too with a slight margin.
Uttar Pradesh has zero, Bihar has nothing,
Karnataka has its government, there's nothing.
Even after taking the ballot paper,
out of 28, only one seat is given to Congress.
Will Congress now accept it?
Now, the BJP's counter argument is that the problem
is not with the machines or the method of voting.
It is the Congress leadership, in particular, Rahul Gandhi.
Now, its argument is that that changing the voting method will
not change the Congress's electoral fortunes.
But the Congress party president,
Mallikarjun Kharge is doubling down.
Despite the party's poor show in the MLC elections,
Kharge has renewed the demand for ballot papers
and challenged the BJP not to let its victory get to its head.
And his dare is, if the BJP is so bolstered
by these results by ballot papers,
then why not hold the assembly elections
and the Lok Sabha elections in the future on ballot paper?
There are people to support and that ego should
not be there in BJP that they have done very well.
Okay, if that is the case,
let them dissolve the parliament and go on ballot paper.
Now the Congress has a result of its own to point to,
which is Nagpur, the party that won the graduate's MLC seat
in RSS stronghold on the Chief Minister's turf.
And while the BJP points to its overall tally,
the Congress is holding up Nagpur as a reminder
that the result did not go in the way of its rival everywhere.
And this is what they are now subjecting to its lone victory.
Sir, now the MLC election results are out.
Even in Nagpur, we have seen that the Congress party has secured...
of RSS and Mr. Nitin Gadkari has been MLC on this seat for 24 years
and now the Congress
has won. So the message to Mohan Bhagwat is very clear from Nagpur
and from Varanasi the
message to Narendra Modi is very clear.
But Narendra Modi has become so childish now,
he couldn't even wait for the results.
He jumped the gun and now he's made a fool of
himself. People are laughing at him.
This is what he has reduced himself to. We feel
very bad for the prime minister.
Now with the
reactions that have
been coming
in in Uttar Pradesh,
let's take
a look as far
as the Samajwadi Party is concerned,
it has added another result to the point, and that is of the
seat of Varanasi, Prime Minister's Lok Sabha constituency,
the BJP winning six of the 11
MLC seats in the state, while the Samajwadi Party winning five,
and in Varanasi in particular,
the Samajwadi Party retained the teacher's seat
and its candidate in the graduates' constituency.
That has built a considerable lead over the BJP leader,
who conceded defeat even before the
official counting was completed.
Now, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has also alleged that
Counting had been delayed and the victory certificate was withheld.
The people of the BJP are very upset
and disappointed and they are forcing the youth
not to take part in any kind of protest or protest.
The BJP is trying to see any kind of protest
or protest as violence.
So let's open this up while we continue
to debate and discuss as far as the MLC gains
and losses for all of the political parties.
And this is a messaging that has now come across
when it comes to a certain party setting a national narrative versus
when it comes to the election results.
Let's introduce Dr. Kaushal Kant Mishra, spokesperson of the BJP,
Krishna Hegre, spokesperson of the Shiv Sena Shinde faction,
Arshpreet, spokesperson of the Congress,
Pooja Mishra, spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party,
Clyde Castro joining us from the NCP SP side.
Thank you very much everyone for taking out your time.
Dr. Kaushal, let me begin with you.
Yes, big gains for the BJP, but how are you now looking
as far as these election results are concerned?
Yes, MLC election process is different,
but in the manner in which the results have come,
Big gains for the BJP somewhere, but two big losses as well.
How are you looking at these results, sir?
Amita, currently the whole nation
is there on the issue of Amit.
In my opinion, this has confirmed that Congress has no place.
Till the time, whatever the results are there, Congress is zero.
And Rahul Gandhi is trying to make fool of their own allies
to become big brother of their own allies.
They are nothing else.
now there is ballot paper
and all their allies are happy with whatever the results come so there
is no problem of eccec now there
is no question about election procedure because everybody is
winning except congress
and mr rahul gandhi is is out of country for in the search of some
documents which was asked
by the Rashtrapati Ji I think they must have find some document and they
they should give to the
President of India
because Rahul Gandhi
after meeting President of India
himself came out
and said to the media that
Rashtrapati Modi Ji
asked for the documentation
saboot
saboot toh leke aayi honge mujhe lagta hai
toh ab dena chahiye but woh nahi karenge
kyun kyun ki 1st November ki rally
unne decide kar rakhi hai kyun kyun ki
unne desh se koi concern nahi hai
they are trying to make just fool of their own allies
that he is the big brother he has the
legacy of the running government of India
and that is why he is a big brother otherwise you
can see whatever the results are there congress
is zero this is the reality of congress it is not
us it is for nation it is for everybody
and their own allies that where the congress stand this is
a big question for Congress.
We are happy whatever the results are there. Somewhere
gain, somewhere win. That's part of any election or any game.
I'm going to come to Nagpur and Varanasi also, Dr. Kaushal.
But let me take an opening statement
from Arshdeep. Arshdeep, as Congress,
is it fixated when it comes to BJP's losses?
But what about its own? Any introspection?
Thank you very much. Number one,
the Bharatiya Janata Party really ought to introspect because
one, they have lost Nagpur and second,
they have lost Varanasi. A big congratulations
to you. And Nagpur happens to be the home turf of the RSS
and Varanasi happens to be the home
turf of the prime minister of the country.
Now, my request to the Bharatiya Janata Party is I congratulate
you on the amount of arrogance and ego
and attitude that you bring on with this loss,
which happens to be a big loss
and the Bharatiya Janata Party commenting on ballot papers. See, number one,
I questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson
when Mr. Advani had questioned the
EVMs. When the Bharatiya Janata Party
was losing state election after state
election and had called for
an alternate, had called for
the ballots. Was Mr. Advani
wrong? Number two,
as far as the ballots go,
let's talk of Maharashtra also.
We won three seats there.
The MBA won three
seats. My request to the
Bharatiya Janata Party is, they
you have been shown the door.
They're also the Bharatiya Janata Party's chief minister,
Mr. Farnavis, even had to delete his tweet.
What happened? Was it too soon to have jumped to a conclusion?
Was it for the Bharatiya Janata Party?
Number two, my request to the Bharatiya Janata Party
is with regards to Mr. Modi's confidence in ballot papers.
Will the Bharatiya Janata Party welcome ballot papers
for Lok Sabha elections as well as Rajya Sabha elections,
if that is the amount of confidence you have?
And number two, I don't understand the logic of the BJP spokesperson,
him saying that this is a verdict of the people.
Brother, only registered graduates
and teachers have voted in this election.
Only they could have voted in this election.
So less than 1% have voted.
But the BJP wants to present as if it is the result of 100%.
I mean, look at the double standards of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
less than 1% vote, but they show
it to be the verdict of 100%
people of the entire country.
So my request to the Bharatiya Janata Party is
we all saw what happened at the time, last point,
we all saw what happened at the time of Chandigarh
Mayor poll, where the ballots were
being defaced by the presiding officer,
the Supreme Court after that
had pulled him up, and
the Supreme Court even said the
death of democracy took place that day.
So we don't want lectures on the
Bharatiya Janata Party. We know how
you run things, we know your modus operandi
and now that you've lost Varanasi
and now you need to introspect
you've nowhere mentioned Karnataka till now
I'm just going to take opening statements from everyone
then I'll come to that question as well because
there seems to be a contradiction when it comes to
your own minister coming in from the Karnataka
Sarkara. Let me bring in an opening
statement from Pooja ji as well
Pooja ji, who are you proud of in UP?
Because Congress party is congratulating
you as far as the Varanasi victory
is concerned, what are we now looking at?
out of 11 seats, we have won
5 seats and out of these 5
seats, earlier we had already had
3 seats. One was from Varanasi
and this time we have won the 2 seats
from the Varanasi as well and
there is a phrase
old habit dies hard and
we witnessed that here in
MLC election as well.
In the election of
Agra elections, there was re-voting
of 3 votes and there was
re-counting despite of our
candidate won, Asto Sinha ji, he won
the elections. Despite of that, the BJP
didn't agree to accept the results.
They went for recounting and
today morning again, our
candidate won. We have
Asto Sinha ji as
MLC. And in Agra, also
Akash Agarwal ji, he even cried.
His clothes were torn out.
Everything, BJP did
everything he could do to
go for unfair means. Despite of that,
Samajwadi Party and the Samajwadi Party
workers, the PDA, Prahadi,
We were fighting with the government alongside
with the election commission.
And that resulted, our hard work resulted in that victory,
which we have gained.
I believe Akhilesh Yadav also put out a post saying
that there was deliberate slowing of the counting as well.
Because the voting that happened sometime back,
but it's taken considerable time for the results.
No, it happened during the counting of Agra as well.
The counting was stopped for a few minutes
and then slow counting was done.
And even in the Varanasi as well.
That's why I said that it won't happen.
The guy is hard.
Because the BJP, even if I go for Chor Chori Sajai,
but Hera Feri Senai,
this was ballot papers, you know, voting.
Despite of that, BJP was under.
No, but my main question, Pooja ji, was
ke aap kista padla bhaari hai?
Because seats sharing with the Congress party
obviously will come out to be as a sticking point.
I'll just come to that.
I'll just come to that.
I think the media houses and BJP need not to worry about our allies.
We know but we will go for a formula.
Our factor is to win the upcoming 2027 election.
No matter whether it is 60-40 formula,
70-30 formula, 80-20 formula, 50-50 formula.
The formula which will result into victory,
we will go for that formula.
Well, we will see how the parties,
if they are in the same page, you know that is more important.
Now, let me bring in Mr. Clyde Castro as well.
Sir, as far as the undivided NCP making big gains earlier now,
in certain way, we are looking at as far as the Mahayuti is concerned
when it comes to facing setbacks.
And these are, as we've been mentioned, when it comes to home turf
of the chief minister, also when it comes to the RSS headquarters.
Now, as far as the gains that the NCP has been making, what are you
now looking as far as this alliance in Maharashtra is concerned?
Well, we are doing very well. The Mahavikasana Aghadi is together.
We are working, I mean, congratulations to the Samajwadi Party
in Uttar Pradesh, the way they have done things.
And also to the Congress to come back.
I mean, you know, Devendra Fadnavis put capital letters zero,
you know, thinking that he has already won in Nagpur
and the Congress to bounce back.
And, you know, have a fabulous victory like that.
Congratulations to our partners.
And we won two seats also in the MLC election.
So I think we are doing very well.
We are working very together.
I mean, my friend Krishna Hegde is already here
and he's going to share a lot of things about what has happened.
But let me tell you something.
What I'm finding is very strange now is that the Mahayuti,
since morning, I mean, unnecessarily the Bharatiya Janata Party
is blaming the Eknath Shinde faction.
I mean, they're blaming them for the loss.
I don't think it's the Eknath Shinde faction
is to be blamed for the loss in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Because Bharatiya Janata Party themselves was so overconfident
and so arrogant that I'm sure they made the Eknath Shinde faction lose.
And let me tell you one thing, the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP
also said that the Bharatiya Janata Party did
not give them all the influences and did not work together.
Had they worked together, they would have won the election handsomely.
They said that the India bloc, we are all together, we work very hard.
You know, congratulations to all of us who work together.
We are doing very well.
And I think this will set the tone.
I know it's just the graduates, you know,
election and the teachers and everything.
But this sets the tone for the future elections to come.
The way we are working together, we are a strong unit.
And we'll show from here on that we will win many elections together.
All right. Krishna Hegde ji, sir, your opening statement.
I mean, here the NCP-SP leader is suggesting that there seems
to be some power tussle within the Mahayuti, sir.
There is no power tussle within the Mahayuti.
But yes, in many seats, we had a friendly fight.
and therefore in Maharashtra it was 3-2
but all over India the Congress won only one seat out of
28 and that too in Nagpur
which is Abhijit Wanzari last time Abhijit won by 19,000 votes
and this time he won by only 3,200 votes it was solely his victory
because even last time he had
retained the seat in Nagpur
and to say that you know he defeated the BJP in the Bastion
He has won it earlier as well. His father was also elected as an MLA.
And congratulations to all the winners,
all the 28 who won, irrespective of the party.
The Congress also lost four sitting MLCs, possibly in Karnataka,
a state where they have their own government.
I think that is where they should introspect.
Because one out of 28 voting in a ballot paper,
and that's what Congress has been asking for,
has shown that congress is nowhere
in the field even Sharad Pawar saab's party or the samajwadi
party did so well in these elections
but the congress has still drawn almost a blank with one
seat Abhijit Wanzari and i must say that you know we
are working hard we did have friendly fights
with the Bharatiya Janata Party in Maharashtra
but but i think we have already won four big
elections in Maharashtra with the Bharatiya Janata
Party as our ally
and in the forthcoming elections we are
sure that whatever
differences there are at the local level
that will be you know cleared
up and we will fight with the Bharatiya
Janata Party and the NCP Ajit Pawar
together as one force
Alright. Dr. Kaushal Ji
you know the question that has now been
raised on part of the Congress that
if you have so much faith in the ballot paper
so why not have the
assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections also
on ballot paper. Coming to you, Ashwini. Coming to you.
And what about Mr. Advani's statement?
When Mr. Advani gave the
statement, at that time, Supreme Court has not
examined the EVM. And Supreme Court
has not given any clearance to EVM.
Currently, the status has per...
What is this? What is this nonsense?
Where recounting was ordered...
Please, one by one.
That had also never happened before.
Don't become Rahul Gandhi, please.
Dr. Kaushal, please complete your point.
Be yourself. Because he is
interjecting now. I have not said anything.
He is behaving like Rahul Gandhi.
Please complete your point, sir.
I am saying, when
Lal Krishna Advani Ji has raised this issue,
at that time, it was not cleared by Supreme
Court. Now, EVM is cleared
by Supreme Court. It is authentic
method. Nobody is
able to hack that EVM till date.
When they have called at election
commission, nobody has visited.
Now, the President of India is waiting
for Mr. Rahul Gandhi, so
that he can bring some saboot from Vietnam
but he is not coming.
And Congress, Gandhi, this election result shows the Congress party
is like a parasite.
No, but do you have in ballot papers now or not, sir?
Obviously, no. Why? We are 140 crore democracy.
How many months will become? And if we are
not using technology, we are not going on the path of Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
It is advanced
technology. There is no proof
that it is tampered. There is no
documentation. Supreme Court has
affirmed it. What is the role
of going back to ballot paper?
Yes, Ashpreet, stop.
My request is...
Mr. Rahul Gandhi, please.
Dr. Kaushal, let's hear the
other side as well. Let's hear what the
Congress party has to challenge to say to the BJP.
Yes, Ashpreet. First, my
objection is to the word parasites
being used for the principal opposition
of the country. We are representatives
of the people we are the principal opposition we
are the voice of the people and you call us
parasites you call the voice of the people parasites
this is extremely unfortunate and
he should apologize he should be taken to task
for it number two let's not make it personal let's
let's let's just keep it to the you know mlc elections
and what exactly is the messaging
coming from that let's not take it personal yes second
of all my request to the party and the
party spokesperson is when i talked
of mr advani he said there's an order of the honourable supreme
court there is also an order
of the supreme court where it ordered recounting of the evm
and when the recounting was done the results changed the person
who was declared the winner
after recounting was found to be the loser
and the person who was declared the loser
after recounting so you believe that as far
as ballot papers is concerned it is a more authentic
way of winning elections or not have you forgotten
when it comes to the time of booth capturing
Ashpreet my request is when it comes to the elections
the Bharatiya Janata Party's spokesperson
could not even answer a simple question why did Mr. Fernandes have
to delete his tweet because he
lost his home turf because Nitin Gadkari ji lost his home turf
because RSS uh RSS's home turf was
also lost the fact of the matter here
is that the Bharatiya Janata Party is now embarrassed the
The Bharatiya Janata Party doesn't know what to say about it.
Forget the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Forget the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Let's talk about the Karnataka, you know,
Congress government in the state.
How many seats have you won there?
If you're talking about the home turf,
then it is your own government which is ruling the state, isn't it?
Now, what's bigger, the state government or the centre government?
The Prime Minister, Mr. Modi's seat.
Varanasi has gone.
Varanasi has gone from the Bharatiya Janata Party's hands.
I want to tell the Bharatiya Janata Party
Mr. Modi's handle had a tweet
I can't believe that
was the Prime Minister's tweet
the kind of language that has been
used, the kind of words that have been
used were there on a Prime Minister's handle
my request to the Bharatiya Janata Party
is you really need to pick up
I will come back to that question
I can see how you are in a way trying to deflect
but I will come back to that very question
and I will come to you on the statement that Mr. Satish Chakravarty
has also made today
let me come to Clive Ji
Clive Ji, what is your take on this as far
as vote margin coming down of the Congress candidate?
Because that's the only victory that the Congress party has maintained.
You know what, the Bharatiya Janata Party, when they lose,
they start talking about averages, percentage and everything.
A victory is a victory.
Even their side, they come down from votes in an election.
A victory is a victory because they are losing
that coming up with all these things.
I want to say three things.
One is, you know, they keep saying
that Congress has won one seat out of 28.
See, everybody fought in alliance.
So calculate those seats and look at that.
We can also start picking and talking about BJP winning or losing.
Listen, please don't interject.
Okay.
Secondly, why is the Bharatiya Janata Party
so afraid of the ballot paper?
Every day they are trying to prove the opposition wrong.
Now prove us wrong by holding the elections in ballot paper.
Come on, go ahead and prove us wrong.
We are saying, let's hold the ballot paper.
Go ahead and prove us wrong.
Thirdly, I want to make a request to you
and to your guest relations people who are working there
that please call people on the guest along with us
who maintain decorum and decency and do not
use derogatory words for that i've interjected
on time sir yes please i request you yes i've
made that request on time because we also can speak
but we no of course of course when it comes
to decorum that needs to be maintained i agree
with that and i've interjected on time let me
come back to Mr. Prakash Hegde on this sir
when it comes to in totality the victory should be seen
or as far as when it comes to individual political parties,
their own performance needs to be seen?
No, I would like to correct my dear friend Clyde, first of all,
that we did not fight as an alliance.
We had a friendly fight in some seats and that cost the alliance dear.
If we would have fought an alliance,
possibly we would have won those seats also.
But Abhijit Vanzhari won a good battle in Nagpur
and I must congratulate him for that.
He has won last time as well, as I said.
but this time
out of 28 seats
the NDA alliance
throughout the country
won 16
and the MVA Bandhan
won 12
and the last time
it was 50-13
in 2020
so I think
still we've scored
over them
this is a
preliminary election
but it is also
an important election
because it represents
both teachers
and graduates
and let's see
there are many more
elections coming up
whether it's
Punjab or UP
and I'm sure
that
But the representation, Mr. Krishna Yegde, is very, very less.
When it comes to the graduate teachers, in a way,
as far as the representation is concerned,
when it comes to voting, the Congress is of the opinion
that that doesn't automatically reflect or translate
when it comes to a people's narrative.
No, I don't agree with that because graduates
and teachers both are thinking people
and what they think in society is very, very important.
It may be a small number, but election is an election.
like one of my esteemed panelists said
that election is an election
and every victory is a victory
and therefore here also we have scored
16-12 and I think it's a good victory
for the NDA
Yes Pooja ji, what's your take?
Because as far as Uttar Pradesh is concerned
we are looking at a big fight in 2027
Yes, our focus
is on the election
in 2027 and
I just wanted to
mention that when
allies of BJP and NDA
they can go for friendly fight.
When it's allies of India,
when India is blocked,
then it's not friendly fight.
That is conflict.
There should be a single definition
for you know whether friendly fight
or whether it's a conflict.
No, that has happened
as far as the elections
are also concerned
where Congress party
is in alliance, say,
with the left in Kerala.
But we'll have a different opinion
and we'll fight against each other.
That's the same case
what happened in Punjab as well.
Yes, that's what I'm saying.
And in West Bengal.
India is an ally.
yes, when it's India bloc, it's conflict.
When it's NDA allies, it's not conflict,
it's friendly fight. We witnessed that in the case of Jammu
and Kashmir election as well.
Then also the BJP allies went for vote against each other
and it was a friendly fight. And when
it comes to India BJP, they are having conflict
in between. And right now also,
even the spokesperson said that Samajwadi party won much,
you know, high number of seats rather
than congress samajwadi contested on 11 seats mind
that on the whole of the 11th seat congress was
with allies congress didn't you know give any candidature they
were supporting us if you go for
uh you know counting the MLAs you can't just you know deduct
the five MLAs which uh got elected
from Samajwadi Party we had the support from the Congress
and we are going into the we are seeing
watching, want to see the bigger picture
of Uttar Pradesh. That is
2027. And we are focusing on
that. Our every election, every
work is focused on the upcoming elections.
And BJP now has won. I'm
congratulating, you know, Shinde
Hegdeji said that we have won this
number of seats. We are
ahead of India. Okay, congratulations.
Many, many congratulations.
You have got the trust
over the ballot paper. Just go
for the upcoming elections.
I have also congratulated the SP.
I have never said anything wrong against them.
You know, whoever are the good candidates,
whoever the voters think can represent the people.
And, you know, it's part of democracy.
One party has to win, one party has to lose.
But what I am trying to say here is we cannot undermine any election
because it's a teacher's election
or a graduate's election or the numbers are very small.
They are thinking people
and I think to think that way that this is a very small election
is to undermine the thinking people of the country.
All right. Dr. Kashyap, what's your opinion as far
as when it comes to the opposition is concerned?
They are now thinking that they are strong enough
when it comes to taking on the BJP
and putting up a united front.
Because as far as when it comes to the electoral debacle
for the Congress party in particular is concerned,
they are still going ahead with the Chalo Delhi march
a mock impeachment is also going to happen
Amita that is the main question
in this election nobody
is doubting the election commission
but even then they are going for
Chalo Delhi march against the CEC
this is the double standard
when they win
please please please
Pooja ji please
in the Agra elections we doubted the election commission
in the Varanasi
elections we doubted it
in the case of Pilibhit
There are two SDMs and one computer operator got suspended.
Why did they get suspended?
All right, all right.
Take in your point, Pooja ji.
Here is Dr. Kaushal, the Samajwadi Party saying,
and this also came in from Akhilesh Yadav,
saying that this is the time
that the Election Commission proves its impartiality.
Rahul Gandhi first proved there is some...
Rahul Gandhi should bring all the document and saboot to court,
Supreme Court and to the President.
Pooja, what is this?
What is this?
I'm not even speaking on you.
Pooja ji let him complete please
One by one
Yes Dr. Kaushal
I don't understand my friend
Mr. Spokesperson from NCPSP
Was saying decorum should be maintained
I don't see any decorum
Because I have not said anything to anyone
I use the word which is actual
Let's stick to the debate
I am losing time out here
Amita this is not done
Every time when I start
Sir I have to start taking concluding statements already
So please make your point
I will interject everyone.
Yes, please make your point.
Again, I'm requesting you.
That's the maximum that I can do.
Yes, please.
Amita, I am clearly saying that if they feel they are so strong,
the public opinion is so much with them,
then they should come and prove in the election.
All the election happening,
even after their vote show rally till today,
everywhere, Andy Gatbanda is on the loser side.
This is the fact.
Whether it is the MLC election or even the upchanao of many places.
Everywhere. And Congress is nowhere.
Congress is surviving on the local parties
and that is why Congress is a parasitic party.
Political parasite of the India is Congress party. This is a real fact.
They are surviving only on Samajwadi party and local parties.
I think there could be a better way in talking about that.
But Ashpreet, I am coming back to the Karnataka specific question.
Mr. Satish Jharki Holi has come out to endorse the SIR
saying that as far as those who
were duplicate voters, who were bogus, who were
fuzzy voters, they need to be weeded out
as far as when it comes to such kind
of practice that was there in the last 50 years
and in a way has said that in the manner
in which the exercise has been conducted,
he has welcomed it. What is your take?
Well, see, number one, there
are two very important factors to this. First is the
SIR that has been done, that has led to 13 crore voters
being deleted. That's subjudice.
That's the matter which is before the Supreme Court. I want
a specific answer on Karnataka. One second.
Does that not have an impact on the elections? Does
that not have an impact on the results?
So many people that would have voted in this election
of MLC were not allowed to vote because of that.
Matter is subjudice. Yes, they might get relief.
Yes. But till then, the results are coming in.
And till then, the people are being affected.
my request there is very simple
so is that why the congress didn't win any single seat in Karnataka
one second
the fact of the matter is
that not a single person
should suffer
that he should not be reduced to a second
class citizen
when their fathers
when their grandfathers have voted in the
previous elections
why should they not be allowed the same right
number two they happen to be living in the country
they happen to be earning
he has also said about form 6
saying that as far as new electors are concerned
it's a good way that our form 6 is there
when it comes to also
when it comes to the engagement
of all of those whose names have been deleted
Mr. B.K. Hari Prasad is of the opinion
that those who have been deleted
are eligible voters
and in this manner to disenfranchise them
My request is very simple
since you asked me a specific question
I'll answer your question through one line
Many are people that have been deleted
Many are people that have been deleted
If they would have voted in this election
the results would have been very very different
Number two, my request is, everywhere, everywhere,
nevertheless, the Bharatiya Janata Party lost Varanasi,
nevertheless, they have lost Nagpur.
This is the biggest imbalance.
So vote-chori happens in Karnataka, but not in Varanasi and Nagpur.
Okay, my request is this.
I challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party,
if they are so confident of ballot papers,
and if they have won, so-called debate of...
No, no, no, I want to understand the Karnataka question, please.
You said you'll give me a specific answer.
Tell me about the Congress's performance in Karnataka
I am telling you the performance of the Congress party
Accept our challenge
I tell the Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson
Say that you welcome the ballot papers
For the Lok Sabha election
For the Vidhan Sabha election
And you are not afraid of it
You are not scared of it
Say it
Your own leader used to ask for ballot papers
Krishna Iyengar ji
I am not getting a specific answer
I have tried multiple times
But specifically when it comes to the losses
When it comes to the opposition
automatically it is deemed as vote chori
No, Arshpreet is a knowledgeable
spokesperson but I must remind him that it is the Congress
who introduced the EVM and now they are
saying you know the EVM is an issue
also in uh you know 2026 the sir has been introduced and it
was there in so many states and so many states went to poll
and at that time they did not go
against the sir and now they are going against
the sir the matter is sub judice they should wait for
the Supreme Court decision to come in moreover
the intensive revision was held way back in 2002 or
2004 and after that there have been so many illegal voters
so many who have shifted residence
so many who are dead and so many who are duplicate voters
so there has to be a you know path
correction which was required
and that's why the government is doing it whoever name has been
deleted they're getting a month
or two to again file appeals and come in Maharashtra if there
are two crore voters who are deleted
then in the last one month why only not even eight
lakh people have come to register and appeal
so that is something which has to be looked
into either there have been a lot of duplicate voters
who are voting in two states whether
there have been illegal voters this is for the you know
that for the election commission
to decide and that is an autonomous body
to link the election commission with any party
I think is very unfair
because you have seen exactly how the last six months have panned out
and how exactly is the opposition is now planning
to put up a united front we are looking at you
know when it comes to the upcoming marches
and rallies that are also being planned, sir
concluding statement please yeah my my thing
is you know what my buddy Krishna just said that you
know that it is an autonomous body
the election commission that's my question if that is an
autonomous body the minute we say something about
the election commission the BJP starts doing
thunder, starts dancing and starts
excusing themselves and
trying to say that the election commission
is not doing this, not doing that. Let them answer
where is Gyanesh Kumar? Where is he hiding?
Why doesn't he come out and speak?
Every time we say one word about the election commission,
the party, Janata Party starts
jumping and starts...
But there has been a detailed affidavit in the Supreme Court
submitted by the election commission, right sir.
Fine, fine. Listen, I know that.
Amita, please don't remind me. I know that.
What the affidavit came later on,
after so long deliberation and everything, my point
is very simple, straight forward point.
If it is an autonomous body, why is the BJP getting
affected so much by us questioning the election commission?
Let them answer, let them comment.
Let me take that concluding statement from Dr. Kaushal.
Yes, because Mr. Clive, I think
we are winner and Rahul Gandhi is directly saying
that Gyanesh Kumar is working for BJP
and that is why we are coming forward
and saying there is no question we are winner
And you said the umpire is wrong, so we are winner, we will oppose it.
That is why we are coming forward.
Can I ask you a question?
Yes, please.
You know, throughout the debate, anything we say,
okay, you are just saying Rahul Gandhi,
Rahul Gandhi all the time.
Can I ask you one question?
Yes, please.
How is the weather in Delhi today?
Is it hot, cold?
What is it?
You come to Delhi, you can come anytime.
You want to put the blame on each other and the political parties,
but yes, the matter
is subjudiced.
is... Sir, I have
completely run out of time. Yes,
just 10 seconds, Clyde, sir. Then I have to take a
complete statement. What is the weather like
in Delhi?
Weather like is that BJP is going to win
the next election. This is what is weather in Delhi.
Thank you very much. I thought the weather is Rahul Gandhi
will answer that. Thank God, at least he didn't answer Rahul Gandhi.
Okay, okay. We'll carry on that. Pooja ji,
concluding statement. Amita ji, BJP is
trying to just cover up everything, saying
that we have won number of seats, but
the reality is that they have tried very
hard. If our Prime
minister lost his you know state his state
his constituency it shows that the people has lost
faith in the BJP and we are picturing into 2027 election congress
and samajwadi party will be
allies will contest the upcoming election
that is exactly why i began my first question to you
asking you know right after the samajwadi party victory
that only time will tell krishna ji
apologies sir completely run out
of time thank you very much all of you for joining us here on
the urban debate.
