Kim Kardashian's 'Citizen Kim' biography reveals 'extraordinarily sloppy' Kris Jenner affair

Author Jonathan Van Meter revealed he spent hundreds of hours interviewing Kim K and dozens of her friends, family members, and associates. But it hasn't come without drama. Van Meter told The Hollywood Reporter that Kris Jenner allegedly flipped out after learning her 1989 affair that broke up her marriage to Robert Kardashian Sr. was included. Van Meter writes that the affair was, quote, extraordinarily sloppy and said when Jenner learned it made the biography, she said, quote, Why did Kim drag us all into this? Why is my affair from 30 years ago in the book? Well, it's because Citizen Kim covers everything from intimate details about Kardashian's late father to terrifying moments from her marriage to ex-husband Kanye West. Kim reveals that on her father's deathbed, Robert Kardashian predicted she'd succeed, telling her, quote, I know you're going to be good. I can see it. She says her father told her, You'll be fine, but take care of the other ones, referring to her siblings, adding, quote, And make sure your brother's good. Robert Kardashian Sr. died in September 2003 of esophageal cancer. And in the latest preview of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kim reveals she underwent surgery to cut out irregularities in her esophagus. But back to the biography, there are quite a few bombshells about Kim's ex-husbands, including rapper Kanye West. One startling claim is that Kim Kardashian's first husband, Damon Thomas, allegedly showed her father nude photos of one of her sisters who is not identified. The author called it one of the most shocking details from Kardashian's 2003 divorce filings. And the book doesn't hold back on her more famous ex, Kanye, revealing that a 2018 trip to Africa took a horrifying turn. An executive producer for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, who was on the trip to Uganda filming, said West got paranoid and contacted local police. But when the cops arrived, they raided their rooms and drew their guns, with one officer even putting a gun to Kim's head. The EP said they had to arrange a private jet to get the crew out of Uganda safely. In the book, the Skims founder also reveals she worries about Kanye West, quote, all day, all the time, because he's the father of her children.
