Sochniki is a traditional Ukrainian delicacy. This Ukrainians' favorite desert is a small cottage cheese scone from sweet short pastry. This dough is soft, while the inside is creamy; it makes a great combination. I love these cheese scones!
Hi guys! Welcome to Alla's Yummy Food and hello everyone!
Today I'm going to show
you how to make a traditional Ukrainian dessert called sochniki. Sochniki
translate into these cottage cheese scones or puffs. They're absolutely
delicious. But today I'm not cooking alone.
I'm collaborating with another
youtuber called Antonia with her friend
and they're going to be making another
recipe of sochniki. Her channel is slightly different.
She teaches people
how to speak English or Russian
and this channel is for everybody so if you want
to learn both you can do that so go ahead check
her out I will include all
the social media links down below
in my description box we're going to need
flour sour cream eggs sugar butter vanilla extract
and dry cottage cheese
I've got 9% but you can also use farmers cheese I will include all the
ingredients in my description box below Sochniki has
a beautiful buttery aroma
with a nice and creamy cottage cheese filling.
I absolutely adore them and I
know you're gonna love them as well.
First thing we're gonna do is our dough
so we add our sugar,
butter, add your egg,
add sour cream,
add your flour and baking
powder and mix it all well.
Preheat your oven
to 180 degrees Celsius or 350
Fahrenheit.
For the filling add your cottage cheese, add sour cream, vanilla
extract add sugar and flour also half
an egg mix until your filling is nice and
smooth place a little bit of flour onto your flat surface
and we're going to cut
our dough into four equal
sizes and then roll it out
and cut a little circle with
your cookie cutter
or you can use anything else place about one teaspoon
of your cottage cheese mixture onto each circle
and I'll show you a little trick
you can move these up and down with your fork
and create this beautiful pattern
I'm so excited
we're going to bake
our sochniki for about
30 to 35 minutes
see here it is
beautiful delicious
sochniki they smell
so good in the house
my sister is sitting over there
and just can't wait to eat them but I'm gonna try
one first look at that oh
wow they're incredible
guys don't forget to check
out Antonia's channel she makes similar recipes
so go check it out I will
include the link above here
and also in my description box and thank you so much
