Denver Broncos Trade Rumor Just HEATED UP!
1 Video View·Oct 28, 2026
Oh, the NFL trade rumors involving your Denver Broncos
are hitting a boiling point and the
Broncos could make an absolute fleece of a trade.
It is not just about Jonathan Taylor. Although
after today's news, the Broncos may even
be more front runners for his talents than even they were
as the day started. We've got a ton to break down.
If you're new to the channel, I'm a diehard
Broncos fan and it helps me in the algorithm out a ton.
If you like the Broncos smash that like
and subscribe button. The other day I did a video
in which I was talking about how I thought the
Indianapolis Colts were about to do a fire sale
and all the Colts clapped back in the comments
and said, Hey, we're not selling anything.
We could still make the playoffs. Well, the fire
sale has now commenced.
So the Indianapolis Colts are starting to part with pieces. And the big
piece that they traded away from today was their all pro guard here,
Quentin Nelson. Now, uh, he
and Quentin Nelson are like neck
and neck as some of the best guards in all professional football.
And there were a ton of Broncos fans
who really wanted the Broncos to go out and get him. But if
you take a look at, uh, the actual strengths of this team,
you see like Bo Nix is the least
sacked quarterback in professional football.
Uh, and we get at the quarterback more than anyone
else. And so when you look at total needs on the team,
I think it absolutely makes sense that the
Broncos did not make this move.
But what's interesting is that the team that traded for
him was the Seattle Seahawks.
Now, if you're putting all these breadcrumbs together, the
Seahawks were also one of the front runners to go out
and try to get Jonathan Taylor, uh, Jonathan
Taylor, obviously the phenomenal running back
for the Indianapolis Colts. The other name on that
short list is the Green Bay Packers.
Well, they got Josh Jacobs back faster than they thought
they were going to. So they no longer need
a running back in the Vikings. They need a quarterback
more than they need a running back.
So in my mind, I think the Broncos are absolutely the front
runners at the running back position.
And I think it is really needed because here's the deal. When
we re-signed JK Dobbins, nobody clapped harder.
No one cheered more than me. I'm a huge JK Dobbins
fan, but for whatever reason this season,
it isn't what we had last season. Like before he went down
last year, he was one of the best running backs
in all professional football. I thought that was
the version of JK Dobbins we
are getting back now ultimately i trust sean payton and trust that man
if jk has something left in the tank maybe
that Lis Frank injury is going to take longer than he
thought he did have his best game of the season after
that 10-day mini buy and so maybe he's going
to be feeling better each and every week
but the fact of the matter is that so far Jonah Coleman
has by far and away been the more explosive running back
per carry in on this Denver Broncos
team like there's no doubting that that when it comes
to uh the production that we've seen out
Jonah Coleman and just 19 carries has surpassed what we've seen in JK,
even when he has been the
bell cow back this season.
Now, to me, the death nail isn't just that JK has fallen off a cliff
from a production standpoint.
It is starting to just pick up these tea leaves that there's some
bad juju going in the Broncos locker room because of JK,
which is hard to hear because JK was like
the first person who came out
and announced to the world that Bo Nix was him. He was on ESPN
Deportes, remember? And he said,
Bo Nix is special and he had Bo's back. And so from a
culture standpoint you were counting on him lifting up this team
and for whatever reason this last
week after that Arizona Cardinals game you saw
a ton of bad body language from him uh so much so
that even Mike Kliss who never does stuff like
this ended up saying hello Indy because after
that game JK Dobbins uh told all
of the press uh crew around there that he was unavailable for an
interview and then you just saw him jump off of the field
and when he scored his touchdown he
didn't celebrate with his teammates like he always does uh
and then even you just see his body
language on the side of the uh
the broncos sideline it just did not look the same now
if there's something left in the tank
or even if we see this body language continue maybe then it
becomes dude we got to get rid of you
because you're taking this team down uh in my heart of
hearts i'm going to give him one more week from like
a chemistry standpoint like maybe he is just
hurt seeing like this young guy come out here
and just absolutely ball out of control and so let's give
it one more week before we overreact
when it comes to uh just jk body language but let us talk about
the options because I think of all times
the Broncos are clearly in their Super Bowl window
and I think there are a ton of options out there
that the Broncos could get demonstrably better at
the running back position
and it's crazy to see right now that there are four teams in sell mode
who have a fantastic running back
who could just make this team a Super Bowl contender we saw what
the addition of obviously Kenneth Walker did to that Chiefs team
and I just think Bo Nix gets
so much better as a quarterback if he has
a running back room that has any of these names
on the list. I'm going to go through them,
how much they would cost the Broncos to go trade for,
what the cap hit would be, what's the pro and con,
why it would make sense for the Broncos.
We'll look at highlights for each of them.
And then ultimately, you got to let me know in the
comments, which of these guys do you like the most?
So let's start off with the guy I think
we all would lose our ever-loving minds if the Broncos got,
and that is Jonathan Taylor,
not Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Home Improvement,
but Jonathan Taylor, absolute dog here. You're
looking at a 27 year old, uh, who ran a four,
three at the combine, but he weighs almost 230
pounds. He is huge. We have seen him run all over us.
Like, unfortunately we've seen him run all
over us. Like, uh, let's go back to, um, the,
the play from last year that I just look at all the
time where you're like, dude, this guy is a phenomenal threat
when it comes to catching the
ball to running the ball. He does it all.
And he has taken a ton of carries. Now my one concern
with him is knowing that he is getting up there in age.
And just like we saw, you remember when
The Broncos had Monte Ball a couple of years ago from Wisconsin,
had a huge career in college.
And then it was just like there was too much tread
on the tires by the time he was with
the Broncos.
And so that's the thing that would worry me
is that he was the bell cow back with the
Wisconsin Badgers.
But man, you look at a dude, a lot
of these highlights are even from this year, a guy
who almost is always healthy,
a guy who gives it out there every day for his teammates.
And the other interesting thing about him is like his wife
also liked a couple of comments
from Broncos fans chiming in on her TikTok reel where she
was talking about how Jonathan Taylor
might get traded. So when we take a look at what he would cost
and really what he has done, let's
look at stats first. So when we just look at this year right now,
far and away, the guy leading the
clubhouse is Jonathan Taylor.
He's almost had 500 yards rushing the ball already by himself with a
really dog water team. You see his yards per carries at 4.0.
That's facing a ton of loaded
boxes. I think he would come to Denver and be like,
wait, they only put six in the box to stop
the run. I'm going to run for days on this team.
Rushing touchdowns. He already has seven rushing
touchdowns. The season is still young.
He has played six games already this season and 15
receptions out of the backfield,
which we saw a couple of highlights of that. And then again,
when you look here at the two year total,
you're seeing him up here at the very top of all those
things. Other names on this list here,
it was obviously going to be Tony Pollard. Now he is a
guy who is on a contract year for the Tennessee Titans.
And so they're going to lose him this
year for nothing. And so he is going to be easily
the cheapest option of all of these.
You're looking, he is the oldest of the bunch,
just by a couple of months older than Saquon
Barkley. But again, he's going to cost the least.
And again, you're looking at a guy
when it comes to statistics, just from last year,
knowing he was on just a very, very bad
Tennessee Titans team, and he still had a thousand yards rushing.
I mean, I feel like we've only had
a hundred yard rusher one time here since Bo Nix has even
been the quarterback and Tony Pollard
strings together a hundred yard games in,
in even with a really bad quarterback play with
obviously Cam Ward. And you look at him this year again,
he's almost has as many yards so far this
year as Jonathan Taylor.
Obviously his ceiling is lower because he's already older, but he's
averaging 4.3 yards per carry on a very, very bad defense.
Already has four touchdowns this year,
and he's played in seven games.
And then he has 11 catches out of the backfield. So probably the
worst receiving threat out of the backfield.
And if you look at his two-year totals, you're looking
at a guy who's got 2,000 yards over these past two years
and averaging 4.3 yards a clip. I think
that's a phenomenal talent and you could get him for next to nothing.
Now, Breece Hall, this is a
guy who last year, the Kansas City Chiefs almost pulled off
a trade with the Jets to get Breece
Hall, but they only offered a fourth round pick
and the Jets said their asking price was a third
round draft pick. Now, I think
that asking price may have even dropped a little bit because they've
already paid him a bunch and so we'll talk about
the cap hit if you get Breece Hall um but man you
look Breece Hall like absolutely nasty talent here uh
and and we're just looking at uh again
as a pass catcher especially i think he had
the best nfl combine um numbers he's going to be the
youngest out of this group as well
and hasn't played on good defense or good offenses at all
and really teams have been able to load the box
to try to stop him knowing that he really is
um the definitive thing the only thing going with the jets
and they're out of it they just
loss to the Dolphins.
A quarterback reset is in store for them as Geno Smith obviously is not
going to be the quarterback for long for the New York football Jets.
So to me, that could be a very
intriguing one. The price tag is a little bit higher.
And then lastly, the highest star power
name here is Saquon Barkley.
This is a dude I'm going to pull up his highlights just from last
night to show that he still has tread on the tire.
So obviously we all know Saquon Barkley,
the cover of Madden doing a 360 hurdle over a guy.
And you talk about the most explosive guy
in this running back room or in
this running back proposed trade situation is Saquon,
but I'm showing these from last night
to show that he still does have stuff
in the tank.
And this is him coming off of an injury
and not having all the cardio that
we know he'll have.
By the time the Broncos go on a little bit of a Superbowl run,
we know he already has proven it,
that he can do it when you get deep in the playoffs.
And, uh, you look here at what he had just last season
because of injury, um, because
of injuries, I think he ended up playing, uh,
last season, he only played 16 games because
of one injury.
But again, you're looking at all of these guys
who had over a thousand yards, uh, and
at the pace we're going, we're not even going
to have a thousand total rushing yards as
a whole team.
Uh, unless Bo Nix keeps dropping these 60,
70 yard touchdown runs on here.
So, uh, I think Saquon's big bell cow year
was this going back just two seasons ago.
This was not ancient history.
We're not talking like going all the way back, um, a half of a decade.
We're still talking, um, just two years ago, he had 2000 yards.
And I think from what we saw last night,
I watched that game last night.
It was a horrible game that didn't matter,
but I watched it to see what does Saquon still
have.
And you look in that year, he had a, uh,
almost six yards per carry, just absolutely nasty.
And then you look last year,
he had the lowest yards per carry of that group, but it still
was 4.1.
And that was after the NFL had kind of figured out,
um, what his, his superpowers really
were.
Now, look in here. What are the trade prices?
What would it cost to get each of these guys? And what it
is sounding like is it sounded like Jonathan Taylor would would need
to be at least a second round draft pick for the Broncos to get him,
which seems kind of pricey to me when you consider all of the things
that the Broncos have recently done at the running back position.
And we paid JK this off season.
We went out and used high draft picks on Jonah Coleman and RJ Harvey.
So it's like, we have tried to fix this running back position.
And it is Sean going to be humble enough to say all
these things we've done have not worked.
And it doesn't matter what I've spent on it.
Like there's such thing as a spent money fallacy.
And so my hope is Sean Payton isn't going
to play the spent money fallacy.
I don't care what we've already put into the position.
If one of these is an answer, you got to do it.
So a second round draft pick,
obviously way less than what we saw the 49ers have to get
up for a guy like Christian McCaffrey.
But again, he's up there in age, right?
He's 27 with a lot of carries on his body,
but that's about what it would cost for him.
Tony Pollard, I think is a fifth round draft pick,
day three draft pick, a fourth or fifth
round pick.
I think if that is your answer, you do that all day.
Brees Hall is an interesting one, man.
If we could get Brees Hall for a third round draft pick
or a fourth round, I think you
run to the, to, uh, the jets and do that.
And then I think the, um, Eagles would, it would
probably be a second round draft pick and a player.
So could you give up JK Dobbins and a
second round draft pick?
Here's the cap hits for each of these situations. So obviously the one
who's going to cost you the most,
it's not just what draft capital you have to give up this year.
It is what choices does that make
for these Broncos next year that, that may hurt or help
them. So Tony Pollard is the easiest one
because you don't have to pay him next year unless he
really performs. And it, you know, so it costs us next to nothing.
We have four, almost $5 million
in cap space. So we could fit any of these guys this year.
It is, if we get them, then we don't
have all that money to give Bo Nix a new deal
or to get Brandon Jones or Riley Moss or Jaquan
McMillian back. And I think all
of those are conversations that the Broncos have to have.
So a $16 million cap hit next year on Jonathan Taylor,
when he's going to be 29 by the end of
next season. That's a lot to give up here.
Uh, Breece Hall would be a $13 million cap hit. So
less for a much younger guy.
That's an intriguing thing that you could get Brees Hall for less
draft capital. And he's a smaller hit on your cap.
And then Saquon, uh, because of how Howie
Roseman always does these deals
is that Saquon's biggest cap hit isn't until all the way out until
2029. And who knows by then,
maybe the robots are running the world and the Broncos have won
three Super Bowls in a row
so if i were making the pick right now uh between all of these guys
like the win now move i think is Saquon
or Jonathan Taylor the best value is Tony Pollard because you
get him for just a fifth round draft pick
and you only pay him next year if he's good um and and the
long-term deal i think is Breece Hall
because he is the youngest but um you could get Saquon for
less and he costs your cap next it really does hurt you
in years uh moving forward so let me
know in the comments, like which of these guys would you go?
And I think if I had to pull the
plug and do this right now, uh, give me Saquon Barkley as a,
the Denver Broncos next running
back. But I'll, I'd be thrilled if the Broncos make any
of these moves. And even if they make
none of them, I'm going to be thrilled
because I think what that proves is that Sean Payton knows
that he has the answer in house.
And maybe that answer is JK is going to come back after the full
bye week and he's going to look like the JK
of old maybe it's that he knows Jonah Coleman is a
dog and ready to take this team all the way on a Super Bowl run uh
but either way the Broncos have
so many options in front of them i cannot wait
to see how it all transpires and i can't wait to do
it with you the Broncos country we're about to make
a move we got a ton to believe in oh and the ball
don't lie
