AI GeneratedThis video provides a step-by-step guide to creating a luscious no-bake cheesecake. The creator explains the techniques used to ensure the cake sets properly without an oven or gelatin, focusing on the importance of a stable crust and a compact filling to achieve a professional, creamy texture.
How can cheesecake set?
if we don't bake it and we don't put gelatin in it.
hi guys it's time for another exciting recipe
and this time we're not turning
on our oven we're not taking out the mixer
and we're making cheesecake no bake. it's
the technique that makes this set
the way that it does. pull up a plastic chair
because it's time to steal.
let's make our crust. we're gonna start with our crust because
I want to make sure that we set our
crust before we add our filling. if we don't set our
crust sometimes our filling can pull crumbs from our crust
and if it does that it'll
expose a bit of the bottom
and it'll make the structure of our cheesecake a
little wonky. I've added some butter,
some salt, some sugar, and my graham
cracker pieces and gave that a big mix.
I use melted butter because it helps bind
the cookie pieces together
and sometimes I pop it in the oven to give it five
minutes of bake time to really seal the deal.
And I like using foil for this
I really make sure that I have an easy time removing this crust.
We're not baking it
so it's very difficult to take out of things if you're not careful.
One thing that I like to do to smooth out my foil
is I'll grab a quarter cup and then just throw it in there.
And I just smooth it along the edges.
It's a neat party trick.
This is the foundation of your no-bake cheesecake.
If you don't give this step the TLC it deserves,
your cheesecake might get a little fudged up.
We're gonna set our crust to the side
so that it could cool and now we're gonna
make our cheesecake base. And don't skip the salt. I know that it
sounds weird but add a little salt. Gives it a little
flavor. A little something something.
And I like to work with really soft cream
cheese so I leave it at room temperature. I don't make this recipe
with cream cheese that's straight from the fridge.
And this part doesn't have to be perfect
because we are gonna go back with our
immersion blender to smooth out any lumps.
And if you don't have an immersion blender,
you can use a food processor or you can use
a stand mixer.
I like using immersion blender
because it's going to give you a more compact cream and
you want that.
You don't want to incorporate too much air
because you want the air to be really close
together so that the cream cheese
and the air interact and bind together and kind of
set.
You can already see that it's getting really thick.
And if you want it to be kind of crazy,
you can serve this as is, as like a sweet
dip. I would serve it with some graham crackers
on the side or some Ritz
crackers. That would be really lovely.
I would make sure that you take off your
attachment before you kind of stick anything in here.
I've seen somebody like buzz their finger off before.
The cake has set overnight
and it is so creamy and luscious.
I'm just, my mouth is
This is watering, thinking about this cake.
And you can already see that the sides are coming cleanly off
which is a win. A win is a win!
And what I'm trying to do is unstick it without being too aggressive
because remember this is no bake.
And I'm doing so very gently.
So of course you can
serve it just like this or you can top it with some jam.
I'm gonna take some pictures.
I'm using some jam that I found at the grocery store.
It's Bon Maman and it's
pineapple and passion fruit
and I really like using tropical flavors any time of the year
because I feel like they're evergreen flavors.
A lot of people associate them with winter flavor
but tropical flavors are all year round.
Summer, spring, winter, and fall.
So there we have it guys, we've made the most luscious,
perfect, no-bake cheesecake.
It has a beautiful passion fruit and pineapple preserve on top
and a graham cracker crust that's to die for.
Wow, this is so good.
You would actually think that I baked this in the oven.
It's refreshing, it's citrusy, it's light.
This is a banger, y'all.
