We BOUGHT The MOST BEAUTIFUL MARE! HUGE UPDATE!

In my last video, you saw how we went to the auction and discovered this gorgeous mare. At first, we weren't interested because we thought she was in full and turns out she wasn't. So when she came through that bidding ring, I knew I had to do my best and put in a bid. And after going through what seemed like a super long few minutes, we ended up winning and I was so excited. She is absolutely gorgeous and I know she has so much potential. I walked over to her right after and said, you're coming home with me. We grabbed her and we walked her to the trailer. And now she's going to get on and start her new life at Free Spirit Equestrian. Now I'm going to show you her first few days and moments at FSE. Hey horse lovers, welcome back to Free Spirit Equestrian. So as you can see we bought an absolutely beautiful new mare and I think after you see these update videos and these new clips you're going to be even more excited because she is just so special and I am just very very happy with everything that's been going on. So let's go ahead and look back and update you. All right, we just got home. I'm loading her now. Hey girl, hi baby, you home? We got a big stall for a big girl. That's right there, okay? Good girl. You love hay, don't you? Let's show her where the water is. Watch the stall door, okay? Thirsty? Yeah, she's probably thirsty. Guard the door, okay? I like those spots on her. Look at her beautiful blue eye. Do you see the spots? Yeah, on her little muzzle? No, on the side of her... Yeah, oh, I saw those. You have a lot of mane. Good girl. She's got two buckets of water. Natalie did a great job prepping. It looks really good. Good girl. Look at her mane, Kyle. She's got a lot of it. And her tail, too. Well, if she ends up being pregnant, this is all big. No, no, no, no, no. Look at how long her mane is. The catalog said in full to homozygous. Yes, but then they verified that she was not in full before the sale, but I will cry. Oh, her butt's all dirty from the trip. That's just water, honey. She's gorgeous Kyle. Like she's stunning. I don't like dripping because she was sweating. You're so beautiful. I know. You're a good girl. You'll be okay. You'll be okay. Hi. Hi. Okay. She's not even as weird about her face here, which is good. That's just Koa. It's okay. You're okay. Good girl. You're okay. So Lilo's going over here. A new mirror. She's gonna go Got a plan here. All right, so... This is the plan. The new horse is going to go in here, so in this quarantine lot. It's an electric fence. There's actually a lot of grass in here, and then obviously I'm throwing hay, and then I'm going to put Lilo there for right now, and then Lilo will go in here. Honestly, I am not worried about this new mare being sick. I'm not worried about Lilo. I'm really not. I didn't even see one sick horse at Mount Hope. I'm not saying they're not there, but whatever. But because of Because of the situation. I prefer to just keep Lilo over here for now. There is zero rush to get her over on the other side, mainly because she'll now have a friend, so I'm not worried about her being alone. But it can be complicated because right now with Dodger, I do have him separate, not from all the mares because he's with Figuera, but more separated. This is just what's going to make sense, and I'm not worried about it. But, um... Cause Lilo still has a little bit of time in quarantine too. So she's just going to essentially quote unquote quarantine longer, but it works out. Cause then I can get her more comfortable with like haltering and grooming and all of that. And then by the time they're both out of quarantine, if they get along, even maybe after a couple of days, they can be in here together. And then she can just be with the new horse first, if all goes to plan and then meet, you know, Ezi Ariel and then Bagira and all the rest of the herd eventually. So this is my plan. I feel really good about it. So yeah, so I'm getting ready to put the new horse in here. We got it set up. She's got hay, she's got water. I put a little flake over here for Lilo so they can kind of share the fence line. Also, that line is hot, but the gate isn't, so they can kind of meet. But if there is some issue, they do have a barrier for now. And if for some reason they get along really, really well, they might just be able to have this open and just be together for the rest of quarantine. Essentially, Lilo's would have been up in a few days. But like I said, it just makes more sense. Let's just keep both these horses over here. It works really well, and then they'll be integrated. I know, you just have a lot going on, don't you? Good girl. Yeah, see, I put some hay over here for you. Hey, I know, baby. Happy girl? She's like, yeah, I got all this grass. You got hay, just filled her water. What you think? She seems really quiet though. Very solid, as in you're very stocky. Good girl. Yeah, she seems like she'll be gentle over the fence line. I'm not worried about it. She did totally normal stuff. Just what Bagheera would kind of do. Man, you're gorgeous. Both of you are so pretty. And I didn't purposely get another mare. Like I was just going with whatever made sense. There you have it. You guys will be good. You're funny, Lilo. I think I have a name picked out for her, but again, just want to give it a couple days. I'll post it in like two days when I fully decide, but obviously always open to suggestions. It needs to be something whimsical for her. She's kind of like a princess type horse. Yeah, eat just like her. This will help you. This is good for both you. All right, I'm just going to let them settle. Everything seems good, and then we'll come check on them later, but good. I think this is a good It's a good situation, I'm happy. I feel better about it, but the mare's not alone. Lilo has somebody now. They seem really happy. Look how cute you guys are. You guys are doing so well. Yeah, there you go. Look at this. I'm sorry. No, sorry. Girl. How tall do you think she is? 15? Two? Hey, baby. It's okay. This is my first grooming session with her. Now I want to let you know it is very windy out. The neighbor is mowing right behind us yet you can't see it. So she's doing really good but that's why she's a little bit on edge. Plus like this is our first time really like spending time and handling her. She was good about putting the halter on and being caught. We didn't get that on film sorry. But anyways I'm just going to show you our grooming session and talk a little bit about her. So I cannot remember if I said this in the auction video or not. But the catalog said she was five, but when I looked at her teeth, she's more so around 10. And my vet and dentist agreed with that based on the pictures, but we'll get an actual estimate when he comes to do her teeth. But anyway, she's around 10 years old. The lawnmower is right behind us, so she's just looking. Honestly, she's taking everything in stride and I'm really proud of her. And I'm actually happy that she's closer to 10. That's a good thing because we have a lot of a super, super young horses and 10 is a perfect. Perfect age. So breed wise, she is a spotted draft. I do think she has a small bit of gypsy vanner in her, just a little bit. No, I'm not going to do a breed test on her because we have a pretty good indicator. The reason I think she has some gypsy in her is just because she has a lot of mane and tail and the blue eye and just a little bit more of her build. She's definitely not full spotted draft. So gypsy is what my thought would be. And she's technically a pinto. You can see how windy it is. The fly spray is like flying everywhere and we're even guarded by some trees. But she's really good about the fly spray. She's doing great about grooming. I'm actually very, very impressed. This is totally, totally normal. Right now it's windy. There's a lawnmower back there. Branches are flying. I tried to get all the burr bushes out, Kyle, but I couldn't pull this major one out. Of course she finds that one. Longer mane. So you can tell she's She's definitely a workhorse because right here is where the... collar would be would it be there if she was just a carriage horse yeah but i mean she has a tail so it's not like no she's beautiful but i feel like if she was mainly a workhorse they wouldn't have left the tail would they have you're gonna get these out wait i might need you to actually discover good job how do you look good job good girl she had borium on there is that better girl You're a girl. She did a great job. Her hooves definitely need some attention. You know, she needs some conditioning. They're a little bit dry. They're long. I'd like to pull her shoes. So we will get to that when the farrier comes. Good girl. What's wrong with it? Well, I like it. Oh, what are you doing? What is he doing? What are you doing? Well I put that tire there, because it went down there. What are you doing? It's a small defense. Well it was. And I wanted to bring it to the Bridgewater days to clean up. What you doing? It's been along the fence. I've done junket, but you can't junket because there's a rubber on the plate. I know. She's like, what did you guys do over here? What do you think? She's a little nervous but she's doing pretty good. She'll eat out of her hand. She let me brush her and everything and I mean I get it. Over here you know she doesn't have the other horses besides Lilo. Totally different lifestyle but hopefully she'll be good when we when it comes to working and riding her. She's really sweet once you just like start hanging out with her. It's just like right when you approach her she's a little like. She doesn't know us. Yeah. Stranger danger. What do you think of her Kyle? She's beautiful. She is gorgeous. Really tall. All good to go. Nice confirmation, big feet. Yeah, we got to work on her feet a little bit, but... Yeah, big feet, but yeah, they need a little help. Nutrition, good trim, pull the shoes, hopefully we'll see. Come around. Good girl. And we think she's a little older, right? We think she's like 8 to 10, maybe? Yeah, we'll get a for sure estimate, but definitely around 10, give or take. Which is what we wanted. We wanted over a 5-year-old, 5 to 10-year-old kind of what we were shooting for, so... As long as she's had decent training, she should be a good horse. People say, you know, they're not used to the English people's clothes. And I'm just like, I have no idea what they're talking about. Is that why you wore that shirt? Yes. Oh. You love your green, huh? So I walk out this morning. And yeah, I guess I'm, you know, big girl just busted through the gate. But they're super chill. So whatever, I'm just going to monitor it. It looks fine to me. Naughty, ma'am. But she's being so sweet. You are so funny. Just busting in here to be with this baby. She's being so gentle and kind. I bet you were a mama.
