Before Joshua could begin his usual hike, he noticed a group of people gathered at the forest entrance. Their conversation seemed serious. Their reaction to one simple question was even stranger. The police took his report seriously and opened an investigation into the suspected illegal slaughter operation. Joshua had managed to bring the horse out of the woods without crossing paths with the people he feared were looking for it. Joshua had entered the forest for a peaceful hike.
