Some things that come out of the closet don’t go back in. Other Mommy (2026) is a terrifying new horror film from Rob Savage, the director of Host and The Boogeyman, and producers Blumhouse and Atomic Monster.
Based on Josh Malerman’s bestselling novel Incidents Around the House, the film follows Bela, a young girl who forms a disturbing bond with a sinister presence in her home — one that looks almost exactly like her own mother. As the entity grows more threatening, Bela and her family are pulled into a nightmare where love, fear, and survival become impossible to separate. Jessica Chastain stars in a dual role as Bela’s mother and “Other Mommy,” alongside Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Sean Kaufman, and Karen Allen.
