AI GeneratedThe speaker discusses his experience on \"Love is Blind,\" specifically addressing the reasons behind his relationship's end. He refutes social media narratives that suggest the breakup was based on physical appearance, attributing the failure instead to emotional overwhelm, poor communication during the reveal, and a lack of perceived sincerity.
She is saying that it has nothing to do with your looks.
I think that's the whole premise of Love
is Blind too is that once the reveal, if the spark
isn't really there anymore, all the fans
and all the viewers are like, it's got to be the
looks.
Do you believe her that it has nothing to do with the looks?
I do.
Yeah, 100%.
And like she said that to me up front and,
you know, shortly after the program ended,
even though we didn't meet up on camera,
you know, we go back to our normal lives.
We get our phones back.
by the time i was back into the hotel like i had
a message from Jack she had found me through social
media messaged me you know kind of gave a quick overview of herself
and then we got back to Boston
we we reconnected um you know
and we're able to kind of discuss what we were and where we were
but no like i i don't i don't think it had anything
to do with looks and it's actually
funny reading kind of like
or seeing the overarching like narratives that are taking
place on Instagram about like you know oh like further proof
that love is not blind she dumped
him because he's you know this hideous monster it's like
no like that had nothing to do with it
you know if you and you know from what she told me
and you know kind of looking back it's like
yeah i can understand why Jax would have maybe after
the proposal started to have cold feet and
then going into the reveal again i just expressed how overwhelmed i
was and that i was just battling
I mean, she was probably equally overwhelmed and just
this whole process and her doubting my sincerity and, you know,
whether I was there for the right reason or, you know, whether I truly
was committed to trying to make it work with her, which I was.
she kind of explained that you might have come off
a little more douchier than how your guys's
initial conversations were so i had to ask you i mean what
do you feel like you came off a little
douchey or do you think that's just
who you are yeah oh no 100 like 100 that's like especially
like you know going back and watching it like yeah
of course like some of those and especially
in the reveal moment like I can 100% see where where Jax
was coming from and you know I think
the one thing I would say kind of about that moment
is it is so overwhelming and there's so
much stimuli and so many moving pieces like you're standing
in front of a door you're suited up you've
got the cameras on you've got the mics you don't know
when the door is going to open at some like
random time the door opens
and you know all of a sudden across this red carpet with fog machines
and all the lights and cameras
and boom mics you've got someone standing there and you walk
up and you're like oh my god like what do I
do with my hands like do I give the ring yet do I
take a knee like how do I how do I do this and so much
of my mental energy was just on like
these simple otherwise like very easy human moments
and just being like so self-conscious
of myself in that situation that like my mouth
was just like moving like words were just coming
out like i was not like thinking
and hearing those tracks back like i have no recollection
of what i was talking about during
the reveal like i just blocked out exactly exactly it's
like we weren't even really drinking like
that was like the first thing we did in the morning
like that was like stones over
but uh you know like my mind was just so occupied with all of
these emotions and it's just silent
and like if you've ever been in a quiet room like every now
and then you may use this as an interview tactic
you know you just go silent the other person will
talk totally and what they say is probably
not going to be the most elegant it may not be you
know their proudest words
and i think i kind of found myself in that position of just trying my
best to like fill a silence absent-mindedly just like trying
to process it all and so yeah i mean
looking back of course some of that stuff was preposterous
but you know at the same time that's
not like who i am as a person
or like the core of my identity that's just you know defaulting
to like throw away humor and trying to just fill space
