Mississippi River Basin Is Hiding Something Huge Beneath - Multiple CRACKS Detected

Something alarming is happening across the Mississippi River Basin.

At Memphis, water levels have fallen into dangerous low-water territory for the fifth straight year. Farther north, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is still producing earthquakes. And along the Louisiana coast, the land itself is sinking while saltwater pushes farther inland during extreme low-flow periods.

In this DiscoverTube investigation, we explore how drought, shipping disruptions, ancient faults, coastal subsidence and saltwater intrusion are placing pressure on one of America’s most important river systems.

The Mississippi is not facing one crisis.

It is facing several at the same time.
