What JUST EMERGED Beneath East Texas Is Far More Terrifying Than Anyone Imagined

Something strange is happening beneath Texas.

In the Hill Country, caves and sinkholes reveal a landscape slowly dissolving from within. In Central Texas, aquifers are falling to historic lows. And hundreds of miles west, satellites are measuring parts of the Permian Basin physically rising as pressure builds underground.

In this DiscoverTube investigation, we follow the data behind Texas’ hidden caves, groundwater crisis, induced earthquakes, wastewater blowouts and thousands of abandoned wells.

Some parts of Texas are sinking.

Others are rising.

And scientists are watching both happen in real time.
