James Kaufman reports on multiple NOAA alerts regarding inbound coronal mass ejections (CMEs) expected to hit Earth around June 14, 2026. Despite the solar flares being relatively low-class (C-class), the resulting CMEs are unexpectedly strong, potentially triggering G1 to G2 class geomagnetic storms.
James Kaufman, World News Report today.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have another NOAA alert.
Another inbound coronal mass ejection for June 14th, 2026.
This time, this halo coronal mass ejection
An alert was produced
by a C6-class solar flare from Sunspot 4465.
It was hurled into space, again by Sunspot AR-1.
4465, which did produce the C6-class solar flare,
and that happened, well, yesterday,
June 11th, at, well, right up 7 p.m. Central.
It's not a very strong solar flare,
but the coronal mass ejection it launched was well-targeted
and extremely strong for the flare.
This is NOAA talking, not me.
G1 to G2 class geomagnetic storms are possible
when the coronal mass ejection arrives on June 14th.
And that's not the weirdest part.
It gets stranger, if possible.
We've just had another coronal mass ejection,
Earth-facing, headed towards Earth.
There's a C6.2 and 6.7 you see here,
4, 4, 6, 5. That's a Delta-class sunspot group.
Look at this. 4, 4, 6, 5, 2. Never, ever seen that
in my life. I've been doing this for almost 20 years.
So, I'm not quite sure what it means.
It's the same sunspot group.
They have not called it Delta-class. It's produced a C9.
9.01 to be exact, solar flare
with a coronal mass ejection headed directly towards Earth.
Right now, we're sitting on a 10% chance of an X-class solar flare,
40% chance of an M-class
solar flare, and, wow, we're running at a B7.21 baseline,
which is very weak, very weak.
We'll see if this C-Class,
that we have a 95% chance of seeing more of, is going to tear us up.
The shields, the way they are, something like this, could tear us up.
I still cannot answer why they've
turned 4-4-6-5 into 4-4-6-5-2,
and that came directly from NOAA.
4-4-6-5-2
It went from Delta class to
Questionable class
This just occurred within the last few minutes
I'm sure they'll have it nailed down
By tomorrow to get a better
Picture of things
That's 4-4-6-5 and
4-4-6-5-2
Now I'm sure again
Everything will be figured out very soon
Here I know we're catching it early
As usual God bless you guys
My guess would be
of two inbound coronal ejections
and they were overly large for a simple C6 and C9
solar flare i guess we'll leave it up
to the Kp indexes to decide god bless please
