Several More Plane & Helicopter Crashes! I'll Take The Bus!

James Kaufman, World News Report today. We reported on several helicopter and airplane incidents yesterday. We've had more incidents today. This has been over the last few weeks. And airplanes and helicopters are falling out of the sky. More plane crashes today. I think I'll take the bus. This is a Russian strategic bomber, a Tu-22M3. It crashed in Siberia, a long-range Russian supersonic bomber. The Tu-22M3 crashed in the Irkutsk region in Siberia during a scheduled training flight. Nothing hit the plane. There was no attack on the plane. It just fell out of the sky. All four crew members managed to eject before the plane hit, but one of the pilots died from his injuries. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the plane was unarmed and a preliminary investigation points to a technical malfunction as the cause of the accident. The wreckage of the plane fell in an uninhabited area near the village of Kaminka, so there was no material damage on the ground or injuries to civilians. Technical issue? Two hours ago today, the Daily Gazette reported the NTSB's first preliminary report on a Saratoga plane crash last month. Just a few weeks ago, another fatal plane crash at Saratoga County Airport last month in Florida. This one's not at a great angle, but this was probably an F-16, as Pakistan buys a lot of F-16s from the U.S. Two Pakistani Air Force pilots killed in a plane crash in Miran Shah, Pakistan.
