Book lovers in Greater Moncton have a new way
to get their hands on best-selling novels.
The Wandering Page is a bookstore on wheels,
and it's been making sales at cafes and markets all over the city.
Hi, I'm Amy McGraw, and I'm the owner of The Wandering Page Bookshop.
So, I love books. I collect books. I read books.
It's totally different collecting books and reading books.
You'll hear that from book people.
and I really wanted to have a bookshop
at some point in my life but rent is
high so I thought why not do something
that I can travel with so we've been
working on this I say we my husband's
been doing a lot of the work but we have
been working on this all summer
but yes this was bare right down he put walls up
We put the bookshelves up, painting,
ceiling, lights, everything. It was yeah
the bare bones it it's
um it's amazing how much it looks better now. So my
biggest love is romance.
So I have a lot of romance over here and then we have a
a lot of Canadian authors that some of them are heated rivalry
and any new business you're
kind of nervous of how the reception is going
to be but I know my book people and we love
our books and something like this to me is so interesting
and so like yeah I want to
be there.
It's hard to be an independent yeah
but people are showing up it's amazing really.
It was always a dream to have a book shop
and it's a dream come true and yeah, just
go for your dreams.
