People Laughed at This GIANT Rusty GOLD Machine… Until I Restored It

In today’s video, we restore a GIANT antique gold pressing machine used by goldsmiths to press and work with gold. This machine is not just a heavy piece of iron — it has a long history and a special story of its own.

We received this valuable old machine from a friend of our father, an elderly man who had used it for many years during his life. After serving him for so long, the machine had been left unused for decades. We can only imagine how many years it had been sitting there, slowly covered in thick rust and dirt.

When we first got our hands on it, the machine was completely rusted and seized up. Moving it to our restoration workshop was a challenge in itself. Made mostly of solid iron, we estimate that this giant machine weighs around 200–300 kg!

We began the restoration by carefully disassembling the machine and separating its different parts. Each component was deeply cleaned, restored, and brought back to life. We removed years of rust, repaired the worn parts, and polished selected metal surfaces until they shined like a mirror.

After restoring all the individual parts, we carefully reassembled the entire machine. But the real test was still waiting: would this old machine actually work again?

After all that hard work, we finally put it to the test — and seeing it working again was the most satisfying part of the entire restoration!
