Restoration Of Vintage Bead Roller | From Rust to Shine

In this video I am restoring a rusty bead roller. I bought this bead roller from a flea market. Many parts of this bead roller are not made correctly.

‎To restore this bead roller, I started by disassembling every part.
‎Each piece was covered with old grease, which I completely cleaned off.
‎After that, I used a paint remover to strip away the old paint from the surface.
‎For removing rust, I used vinegar, and to make the process faster, I added electricity to the setup.

‎Once all the parts were rust free, I focused on the main body of the bead roller.
‎It had several casting marks that I removed using a metal file and a pin grinder.
‎After smoothing the surface, I applied filling primer and painted it in Ford Tractor Blue.
‎All other paintable parts were finished in the same color.

‎The parts that were damaged were repaired, and those that couldn’t be repaired were newly made.
‎Many of the metal parts were nickel plated, and a few received a cold bluing finish for added protection.

‎This bead roller didn’t have a handle, so I made one myself using a beautiful piece of wood.
‎I fitted a brass bush inside it and shaped it into a smooth, elegant handle.

‎After restoring, painting, and finishing all the components, I reassembled the bead roller completely –
‎bringing this old machine back to life once again.
