Video Summary
AI GeneratedA technician diagnoses a furnace that is heating up but failing to blow air. After inspecting the unit, he identifies a failed capacitor in the PSC motor. He replaces the faulty component with a compatible Titan capacitor, successfully restoring the blower motor's function and ensuring the elderly homeowner has heat.
hey guys it's black friday and i've already gone out
to buy me some new toys we have a furnace
here and the lady living here says it wasn't working
but i i can hear it heating i'm wondering
if the blower's
not coming
on so let's dig
into it
oh we got
a PSC motor
which means
it might be
something
as simple
as a capacitor
this is also one
that i installed
oh my word for
this customer
several years ago i do know it's one
of the ones that has
the stainless heat exchanger it's hot
looks like some grass
has been getting
in here all right let's
let's let's check
this capacitor
i hope it's something that simple
the woman living here
is about 100 years old and i don't want her
to have
to go
without
heat
make
sure i
don't
have
power
nothing
0.02 nano
farads
well
we know
that ain't
right oh i'm glad this is something easy i
was afraid it was gonna be an X13
and then not be
able to get one
hmm that's a 20
i'm pretty sure
i don't have a
20 we can make
one though
if i have
to let me call and see if anybody's open all right
i couldn't find an oval one but i got me a Titan
that
i can
mount
right
there
all
right
let's
see
how it
does
now
it's
supposed
to
rain
later
on
today and it looks
like it's about
to now just have
a little bit
all right we're
fired up let's
see
if
it
stays
on
sure
i
got
the
filter
on
here
draw
on
that
blower
motor
0.5
amps
so
that
one's
kind of at the top of its range
but it's still within the range well guys i hope y'all enjoyed
that little video that was from the other day i got another one
from today that i'll be showing
in the next couple days thanks for watching
