Happy Thursday everybody. The sunny streak rolls on.
Safe to say that because this morning
not a lot of cloud cover showing up on our Santa Rita Ranch Cam.
It's going to be a great looking
fall day. Most of the low clouds
and rain showers staying in South Texas. Some of these mid to high
level clouds could sneak on in later on today
but they're not going to turn into rainmakers
because on the muggy meter it is super dry near the ground.
As long as we have that northeasterly
component to the wind we get to enjoy more low humidity days today
and tomorrow and then turning
more humid this weekend going into early next week.
Now we're down to three things on the allergy
slide. Mold moderate, ragweed count high,
and the grass pollen numbers are on the low end.
What a pleasant lunch hour.
We're in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees with a pretty blue sky.
By the end of the day, low to mid 80s across the board.
For your evening plans, we're in the 60s
and 70s, and we're starting tomorrow back into the 50s.
It's been that way for the last seven
mornings full afternoon of sunshine on tap
for us mainly clear this evening waking up to clear
skies tomorrow and then we'll wrap up the work week sunny
and gorgeous looking at the bigger
picture we have this blocking high pressure system right
on top of us putting a lid on things
and making this next storm system
a slow mover hasn't moved a whole lot but eventually it's
going to catch a ride on this storm track
and slingshot it more to our north so not a direct
hit for us but it will influence our weather just
a bit right now it's cranking out rounds and rounds
of thunderstorms in Arizona starting to move into Utah
and then another round of rain increasing
across Southern California checking out
our sky cams across America you can see those rain clouds
in Flagstaff Arizona yesterday for the first time since 2010 they
were under tornado warnings and
some dark storm clouds over Sedona Arizona where they're under
a slight risk for severe weather
today we're tracking this low for you
and it doesn't look like it's heading right for Texas
the blocking high is going to win out
and this low will veer more to the north it will begin to pull
in more low-level moisture underneath that big blue H
and that's why we're thinking it's going
to be slightly more humid to you Saturday
and Sunday generating more scattered clouds but no
rain for your weekend fun
and with the extra moisture the mornings won't be as cool lows in
the low 60s afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s
and we'll have more cloud cover on Sunday
compared to Saturday and then we have
the Longhorn game Saturday evening the weather is going to be
picture perfect light breeze no threat of rain kickoff temperature 82
and then 70s for the rest
of the game as we transition into the last week
of October going into the first week of November
much of the country will be warmer than average we're
not going to enter a slight chance of rain
into the picture until next Tuesday as this wave
of lower pressure clips the area it still looks
like the highest rain totals will stay out
in west Texas for us we may catch in a tenth to a
quarter of an inch that's not going to slow down
the drought conditions 70 percent of the Lone Star State
in drought mode and from Austin eastward we're
still under severe drought this looks promising
though as we get closer to next weekend Halloween weekend
and beyond the weather pattern will shift
where we get more rain events in here as we wrap up
the month of October and go into the start of
November. Just slight chance of rain Tuesday,
mainly dry seven day forecast
with more pleasant mornings and warm afternoons.
