Mild, sunny Thursday ahead of cooler Friday temperatures

Let's take a live look at the Capitol, where, quite honestly, well, off to a chilly start earlier today. Yeah, I got a chance to walk around a little bit, breathe in the fresh air. And then I walked into here, Tucker Barnes, and said, you know what? It's going to warm up. Well, there's always a lot of hot air in here. I like that, Tucker. Good stuff. My imagination. Oh, hey, here's the best part. Joey, put it back on us real quick. This is live TV, guys. Look at this. You see that? I was about to. Yeah, you grew six inches. Hey, when you're standing next to Tom Fitzgerald, you've got to stand on the little stepping box right there, all right? Oh, I see. And then when you're next to me, you're fine. I get it. Well, that's okay. We'll do this together. All right. Beautiful day, and seasonal fall weather continues, and we are going to have just a gorgeous afternoon. Look at that beautiful day at the beach. Those rolling waves, thanks in part to some subtropical storm Josephine. I'll show you that offshore in just a moment. But beautiful conditions, midday temperatures for you at noon, 64 degrees. We will top out in the upper 60s by late afternoon, 62. It was a cold morning. Dallas was back in the mid-30s. We had freezing temperatures in places like Fredericksburg and Manassas this morning. But great-looking afternoon, and the good times keep rolling and rolling, just like those waves, Guy, as we're going to be looking at gorgeous weather later this afternoon and honestly here for the next couple days. Two features I want to point out. One, Josephine off to the right will continue to fade away from us, and the winds will be out of the north and east, so we'll have a nice breeze this afternoon, too. There's a little bit of a cold front, a weak cold front there up in the Great Lakes, and that will drop down tonight, And it will give us slightly cooler air for Friday and for the weekend. It will not bring us rain. It won't bring us a lot of clouds. But it will bring us some somewhat cooler numbers for the weekend. Do you have a peeper? Uh-huh. Just got my update. Okay. Well, you said that too quickly, Guy. Oh. Yeah, you're supposed to hesitate and be like, no, it's kind of creepy. No, it's kind of creepy. Okay. Well, if you'll leave, peeper. We've now gone moderate across most of our region, the exception of southern Maryland and eastern shore. So we're going to very quickly get into some primetime viewing here. I think this weekend will be fantastic. And then, you know, the following week, get out and enjoy those leaves. The trees will, the canopy, you know, will start to spread its stuff here over the near term. 68 today. No cooler numbers Friday, Saturday. Marine Corps Marathon will be chilly on Sunday, but all in all, nice looking week. Maybe 70 next week. Sounds good. Tucker Barnes, all things weather right here on the Live Zone.
