Sixers fans react to season opening win against Knicks

This one is 106-100. Sixers just beat the champ. Clap your hands, everybody. That's the music I woke up to this morning. Is that Sixers blue we're wearing? Blaring in my head when I was trying to get out of bed. That's what got me out of bed this morning. I like that. It was a thriller of a game. Just exciting to watch, to launch the season here. Yeah, we need it. Yes, this is Sixers blue. You were supposed to wear your Sixers blue today. What happened? Forgot. All right. Jason and Shiba here. Don Timoney is at Stateside Live, where Don and, of course, we'll get to Shaunt in New York in just a moment. Don, the party, let the party begin. This is the exact kind of ending fans wanted to hear from opening night. This was a fan fest here at Stateside Live. How are you feeling? I feel good. Let's go, Sixers. What do you think? No, I was hoping we would win this thing. Yes, I have confidence in LeBron. You're not excited, are you? Yes, I'm excited. Listen, I've been a long time fan, season ticket holder for seven years. LeBron has always been my favorite player. Now he's a Sixer. He's won every championship with every team he's been on. So we're going to get one, baby. Let's go, Sixers. Let's go. Obviously, you can see people are super excited here. Hundreds of people packing stateside for this Fan Fest. Throw it back to you guys in the studio. They're having a good time there at stateside. And just in time, the party has started. Game one of 82 games. So it's going to be a long year, but what a great way to start, right? I know. We beat the champs tonight. Yeah, it just kind of made it a little tougher for them. You know, they raised the banner, and then after that, LeBron and company took over. And I don't believe the Sixers played their best game and still won. I agree with you on that. They're still trying to get it together and work as a team. I kind of didn't want them to work as hard as they did today. Didn't you want it to be like an easy win? Easy, well, it wasn't going to be easy. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Let's get to Seanette in New York outside Madison Square Garden where disappointed Knicks fans are walking out right now. Boo who? Jason and Sheba. Yeah, give it back to them, Sheba. Sheba, you have more energy and are making more noise than what I am hearing out here tonight. Oh, silence. That's what I hear. Quiet than usual. Yeah, yeah. More noise. Exactly. And as you recall earlier today, you know, there was some booing. Someone said, how am I out here wearing this? Look at me. I'm doing it. That's how I'm out here wearing this. What a night, right? Someone walked by me a few minutes ago and said, it's one of 80 plus games. You know, walk away gracefully. It's our night and we're here tonight. We didn't have many Sixers fans out here earlier today, but the few I found, they were actually pretty optimistic. I'm so excited. This is my first NBA opener. I'm super Stoked, go Sixers. Fans pour into Madison Square Garden tonight for the NBA season opener. The Knicks, fresh off of a championship, are 76ers with LeBron. There are maybe five Sixers fans that I've seen, but the problem is on resale, all these tickets are like $2,000. So the only way you can get in here is if you have Knicks season tickets or you have like $5,000. This father and son came from the Philly area. Why are you rolling with this guy? Are you excited tonight? Yeah. You are? What are you most excited about? Crossing LeBron, Jalen Brown, Plow and Sixers. Dad grew up in northern Jersey, so they're a house divided. Although Sixers fans were outnumbered here, they spoke loud and clear. A lot of hype. LeBron's on the team. We've got a good starting lineup. It's all hype right now. Let's see if they can deliver. It's never been that quiet outside MSG. I mean, it is like a library out there. Super quiet. I mean, people have been yelling at me all day. And, again, like in fun. You know, no one was really rude. Yeah, but they were talking their stuff. You know what I mean all day and now nothing is what it is Yeah, we will take this win and run with it. It is a long season.
