We had the incredible opportunity to spend several days aboard the USCGC EAGLE, the United States Coast Guard's 295-foot training tall ship, as we sailed from Miami, Florida, to Charleston, South Carolina!

From climbing high into the rigging and handling massive sails to standing watch and learning traditional seamanship, we got a firsthand look at life aboard this historic vessel.

Throughout our voyage up the East Coast, we worked alongside the crew and cadets, learned how they navigate and maneuver the ship under sail, and witnessed the teamwork, discipline, and training that go into every evolution.

For cadets at the United States Coast Guard Academy, EAGLE is more than just a sailing ship. It's a floating classroom where future Coast Guard officers develop confidence, leadership skills, and the ability to work together under challenging conditions.

Our time aboard also gave us a greater appreciation for the unique opportunities available to Coast Guard Academy cadets and the dedication it takes to serve in the United States Coast Guard.

Whether you're considering a future in the Coast Guard or simply curious about life aboard one of the world's most iconic sailing ships, we hope this video inspires you to learn more.
