In this video I am doing an open cup pour! I have only done a few of these and got inspired from watching a few other artists do them. I am using a variety of pink, peach and purple shades of paint along with black for the base coat. I cup a cup in half, poured black, added the open cup, and then poured each color. The paints are only mixed with water and floetrol. With just those additives, you can get some amazing cells like I did in this piece. I kept my paint a little thicker than normal which I think helps to hold the cell structure. I did torch a little but did not torch once I finished tilting. I like the organic looking cells versus the cells created from torching. So far this piece is drying really well!
