Catherine Parr : Short Biography and Animated Real Faces of Henry VIII's Six Wives

Catherine Parr: Animated Real Faces – The Cleverest Sixth Queen Who Survived Henry VIII
Catherine Parr was the sixth and last Queen of Henry VIII. Although many people remembered her as the kind lady who nursed Henry VIII during his last remaining years, she was Henry VIII’s cleverest Queen, and she was the first woman author to publish books in her name in England. Other spellings of her name include Katherine Parr or Katherine Parre.
This video is an animated real faces video by Meeting History Documentary. It is the first of our three videos about Catherine Parr and focuses on Catherine Parr’s achievements and her life before Henry VIII.
Interestingly, Catherine Parr was married four times, and Henry VIII was her third husband. Although people speculated about Henry VIII’s intention to marry her, there was no doubt that he chose her himself as his wife. Their life together was cordial at most times, and she was instrumental in educating three English monarchs, including Edward VI, Elizabeth I, and Jane Grey, the nine-day Queen.
Let us share and celebrate this video about another fascinating woman and wife of Henry VIII.

In this video, we covered the life of Catherine Parr (or Katherine Parr) up to her marriage to Henry VIII at Hampton court palace in July 1543.
Catherine was well educated, and she also has a passion for learning and teaching. She speaks four languages fluently and published three books. These are all unbelievable for a woman in the Tudor era.
Her mother worked for Catherine of Aragon and named Catherine after the first Queen of Henry VIII, and Catherine of Aragon also became her Godmother.
She married Edward Burgh and John Neville, 3rd Baron and Lord Latimer before Henry VIII. During her nine years as Lady Latimer, she helped her husband significantly and continued to look after her stepchildren after his death.
After Latimer’s death, she joined Lady Mary’s household and fell in love with Thomas Seymour. However, Henry VIII noticed her and wanted her to be his next wife, probably seeing how she nursed Lord Latimer and educated her stepchildren.
We will see in the following video that Henry VIII chose correctly. Catherine took utmost care in nursing Henry VIII and did her utmost to maintain their marriage. She also ensured that Edward VI, Elizabeth I, and Lady Jane Grey received an excellent education.
