It is 10.08 and Buck is here for Let's Talk
and we're discussing a confrontation over
a DoorDash delivery that went unclaimed.
So take a moment to listen to this video.
Somebody ordered, well that somebody is me,
I ordered Mexican food, you ate it right?
You ate somebody else's food right?
Like I said, I waited for a long time
for somebody to come and pick it up.
That don't matter, it don't matter
how long you waited, that ain't fair.
I don't want to get into a back and forth with you,
I admit it's what I did, I understand,
I do apologize.
OK, well, here's what happened.
A traveler staying at an apartment building in Tampa,
Florida, says he ordered food to be delivered via DoorDash
and he admits to falling asleep while waiting for the food.
So two hours went by after drop off before anyone claimed it.
And the building's receptionist,
who you just heard from, also admitted to eating
that food since it wasn't picked up in a short amount of time.
So she apologized and offered to reimburse him for the food.
The question, though, is, was it okay
for her to take the food in the first place?
No.
Because it was two hours, right?
It was two hours.
Oh, no.
You can't do that.
You got to let it at least sit up for a day.
Like, you can't just...
I wouldn't eat it after a day, but he took a nap.
That's wrong.
You can't do that.
You can't be out here eating people's food now.
i think what i'm weirded out the most by okay
so if i mean this is an employee right this is
the receptionist so i feel like her duty
was either okay this has been sitting here a while
i need to go refrigerate this or just
not just don't don't do that at all i i i can't imagine
as an employee knowing that eventually somebody there
in that building is going to come looking
for this food and yeah if it sits there more than two hours
who's actually going to eat it
right yeah but he said mexican food in the video okay
so that mexican tacos sitting out for a
couple hours in room temperature yeah anyway food poisoning all over
the place yeah i mean i've
heard stories of people eating people's stuff out
of the refrigerators here sometimes too
it's clearly marked i've heard stories
yeah it hasn't happened to me either
absolutely not absolutely not um i mean i may steal
a piece of candy off somebody's desk or
something like that but that's different oh
that's where my reese's went no i'm just i know
where ron keeps his i don't know where you keep yours yet
but i'll figure it out uh yeah i can't
imagine ever doing that yeah at work yeah i'm thinking
of like the people that that work in
our front in the reception area they wouldn't
do that or at the at the security shack where
sometimes they will drop off food absolutely
not they wouldn't do that yeah and if and if
i forgot and went home they would call me
and say hey your food's there and i would say oh go ahead
and eat it and that has happened to me right
that exact situation i accidentally ordered some food
here i meant to change the address to my home address
and it took it to the tv station and
i didn't it was really good thank you i will say
though i'm serious about my food so i did go ahead
and like throw on a jacket and come back
and pick it up okay to let me know you know and the
concierge at my building would would never they
would never, I couldn't imagine, and they know I'm
a big DoorDasher too, so they'd
be like, yeah, Alex probably fell asleep, that's on brand for her, I am
glad she at least offered to pay for it, yeah, it's already been done
so here, let me at least try to
make this right, so or I'll order you some more
or whatever, right? She should be ashamed, I'm just
hungry now, bottom line, this just made me really
hungry, well Taco Tuesday's tomorrow, okay, oh true
we can all get tacos and not eat each other's food, all right, coming up
on Good Day Atlanta, AI is all
