Hey guys, it's Joe here. Thanks for tuning in again.
I'm up here in Eastern Ontario again, doing another winter camp.
And this time, I'm doing it out of a pulk.
So let's see what I packed for my pulk overnighter in the winter.
The brand of Toboggan is Pelican.
I bought it at Canadian Tire. It was about $40.
I drilled all of these holes in it with my awl and my Swiss Army knife,
wrapped some paracord in it, and tied all the loops through.
So everything's in there pretty solid.
to have some bungee cords on there
or something but it's no big deal I made
this really quick before I came up here I
knew I needed it just threw it together
I'd also like a longer pull rope in the front
that's just too short but it works
for this trip no big deal
this rope stays attached to the front
so I don't lose it first off I have
my Nalgene full of water just setting in
there so I can drink it as I'm walking
my next piece of gear is my tarp it's my
5x7 nylon meshed bushcraft USA mesh
that's just a small little tarp more of
a ground sheet got my MSR shovel it will
extend pretty good and it's got some
nice teeth on the bottom I got all
my stuff basically in one bag one duffel
bag except for a few things
so I do have a wool blanket outside of it underneath
it I have my Venture Swarm buck saw
my 26 inch Wetterling's axe and a new
squirrel cooker from Kestrel Bushcraft over in the UK.
So we used that for the first time today.
Pretty cool. Thanks, buddy.
This duffel bag is a Black River sled duffel bag. They use it for
this purpose. I like it because it centers it.
I can see all of my gear really easy. I don't have
to go search around through a backpack.
First off, I'm going to pull out my sit pad so I can
use it for my knees. So that's my Therm-Rest sit pad.
Next up, I have my negative 10 Celsius down
sleeping bag from mech it's called the talon
in a sea to summit compression sack i got my pillow
my sleeping pad which is as always my thermo
rest neo air like oh things are happening my 10
centimeter billy can from zebra sunflower seeds
a mug i have long johns uh base layer top big thick
wool socks and liner socks
because it's supposed to get colder than my sleeping bag is rated to
tonight supposed to get negative 14 whip plus a windshield
and my sleep bag is only rated to
negative 10 but i do have that wool blanket
as well i got a titanium cup or a water bottle my
food my paracord hanky and odds it ends as far
as food goes for this trip i got all on my phantom
x pouch my large one got some stephanie's wonder

that right now actually in my odds and ends bag i have
extra batteries and sd card
for the camera pills like stomach pills tourniquet first aid kit

and on my person i have fire steel on the lanyard my
deering edc bushcraft knife
and my headlamp i've got a lot of questions about my new gloves they're
from a company called hestra they're
a european company they're a lined leather glove awesome
