Opposition parties in Israel are promising to reset security
and foreign policy if they're elected.
They say Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu failed in Iran
and criticized him for ending Israel's role
in the war on Washington's terms.
The frontrunner, Gadi Eisenkot, says the conflict is not over.
Ultimately, it must end in the destruction
or dismantling of the Iranian nuclear program,
a goal not yet achieved,
with 440 kilograms of highly enriched uranium already there,
which could quickly be turned into several nuclear devices.
Other opposition figures focus on a change in leadership in Bahrain.
The alliance should do is bomb all the energy facilities,
especially in the Island of Courage and other places as well,
and in order to make sure that the Iranian economy is demolished.
And the reason is because it's the only thing
that will overthrow the regime.
Expanding normalization pacts
in the region is a standing talking point.
But the vision of military dominance over
the region is more popular among candidates,
even if it means more wars.
We will build an alliance of moderate forces in the region
against the Islamist forces, against Iran,
against Qatar, against Turkey and all the
radical forces. We will take proactive actions to shape the region.
Political parties in Israel largely agree
that Iran is an enemy that must be defeated.
But recent remarks by the prime minister about new threats
from Iran have increased opposition
fears that Benjamin Netanyahu might renew conflict
to tilt the balance in his favor
in upcoming elections, or worse, disrupt them altogether.
Winning the elections is the top priority for the opposition,
going to work and wait for the day after.
