Catching and Cooking Catfish

Landed my biggest catfish I've ever caught, second catfish only, but we're gonna get the hook off and get him back in the water quick. So what do we got going on there, Clint? Ah, we got a little channel cat action. A little one? Just a little. I think mine might be bigger than Joe's personally. Oh my goodness. Oh, he's got some war wounds. Look at this. Oh man, he is bigger. Oh yeah, he's got like a sea lamprey looking thing on him. Yeah, that's rough. Oh, we'll land him and show ya. Yeah, that's a fish, Clint. Put my whole hand in that mouth. So I just caught one and he was big and I was super happy about that. Look at this. Look at the head on him. He's like a pit bull. Yeah. Look at the muscle on his head. Oh man. Wow. Damn. He does have some more wounds on him. Good job. Look at that. It's a good fight too. Look at his head. Look at his head. Clint just spotted a coyote. We're sitting here. Fire's out. I'm on the phone with my wife and I don't know how far away. Oh, 50 yards, not even. Maybe more like 30 yards. 30 yards away, he was like this nice auburn red color. Yeah, just a reddish, just a beautiful young coyote. And he came up and like cut almost towards us until he caught wind. Yeah, he kind of swung around. He came to within about 30 yards and then just kind of, he swung around this way. He got downwind of us, and once he smelled us, he was fine and just trotted off. But Joe, you were talking. Yeah, he's coming right at us. He wasn't scared. No, maybe he smelled the catfish on her hand That was really cool Closest I've ever been to a coyote and one that looked that nice. No, it's another big bull head. Oh, it is a big one. Holy. For a bull head? A lot like the one I just got, actually. That might be a young channel cat, actually. I don't know. I can't tell. It doesn't have the color of a bull head. So the ribs go down quite a bit, way past normal. Yeah, right down to there. And it's just skin, bone, and guts. Nice. Nice and clean. That's nice meat. That's so good, dude. They do look like chicken wings, though. They honestly taste good. Honestly, this is my first time eating catfish. So we're gonna eat the, I believe it was a yellow bullhead Gotta bring the Franks man. That is beauty dude. Pull the Joe didn't hit record on the first bite Whatever predict it tastes very good. I don't taste fish at all The texture is a bit soft kind of like eating a glass of water, but it's not necessarily a bad thing I like it. It's pretty good. The Franks really sets it off too. We canoed in for like half hour Yeah, I haven't seen anybody out here bugs aren't too bad bugs aren't bad at all So Clint did a Recent trip to Tomagami as well similar place to where we went same general region just a different different part of the part of the area and He actually put up a video on his channel.
